Endaya Cove Resort

It was an unexpected venue for my high school friends' get together last August 6, 2016 when I flew back to Philippines for a vacation from work at Qatar. Since I graduated high school in Batangas and most of my high school friends are still residing there, I decided to held an overnight swimming for them at the said province. Initially, we planned to go to Laiya San Juan Batangas and find a resort there where we can stay overnight. But on the last minute, my friends said that it would be better if we will go to a nearer place instead. So while Kneil (one of my friends) and I are travelling to Batangas from Manila, we searched the internet to find an alternative. And there comes Endaya Cove Resort in Cuenca Batangas. We called the contact number we saw in the internet and luckily, we were able to negotiate smoothly with the owner of the resort for the price for an overnight stay that is good for 5 pax. Without expecting too much, we headed to the resort. From the national highway in Cuenca, we rode a tricycle. The trail going there was a bit rough and difficult. It took us around 15-30 minutes to get there. It was late afternoon already. Upon entering the resort, the caretakers welcomed us warmly. As we walked through the pathway towards the main resort, we are mesmerized by the view. The place was secluded from the busy town of Cuenca with a clear view of the Mt. Maculot and Taal Lake. It was an amazing location and quiet as well. One can hear sounds of crickets and leaves swayed by the cold breeze of fresh air. The resort has an infinity pool facing the Taal Lake and numerous nipa hut room accommodations. We were escorted by the caretakers to our room. It was a bamboo house with a veranda situated at the side of the cliff offering a fantastic view of the lake. We wasted no time and took picture of the us with the view. The room has 2 double size bed and 1 double deck, all made from bamboo, which added to its appeal. It is non airconditioned room which was not a problem for us because the place is so cool and well ventilated. The bathroom has good supply of water which I always looked for when going to a resort. Since its an off peak season, we were the only guest of the resort. Seems like we rented the whole resort for us alone. After we put down our bags, we started cooking for our dinner. The caretakers assisted us and generous enough to provide us our needed cooking utensils. They let us used the grilling station and some cook wares. While some of my friends are cooking, we got to enjoy the cool water of the infinity pool. The pool is not that deep; just enough for the all of us. Not too long, we ate our dinner. We ended that day with some shots of vodka and sleep. On the next morning, we all woke up early and witnessed the nice view of the lake on our veranda sipping our coffee. We all had a good sleep. We ate our breakfast and for the last time, took a dip in the pool, had a last picture taking session and leave the resort. Overall, our overnight stay in Endaya Cove Resort was all worth it and really a relaxing one. Definitely deserves to be recommended to others. Thumbs up.
