We rented the whole house as there were 12 of us.  Location was great as not too many tourists in the area.  
Service was good too. A kitchen on every floor.  Jacuzzi on top.  
Just a bit of walk if you need to get public transportation 

spent a night at the Penthouse of Mayumi Beach House. Beautiful Location, excellent service and a great relaxing experience. dipping in the jacuzzi while you are having the best view of your life!Mayumi Beach House is located in the finest location in the island station1.  staffs are friendly too.

Our family rented all 3 floors, we were 22 pax in total. All rooms had aircon and clean bathrooms inside the room and in the living room, really good and friendly service! Highly recommended place, good location. Hot tub was a good addition. We spent 80% of our time in the beautiful house. 

Beautiful location, beautiful room and rooftop Jacuzzi to lie back and watch the stars at night. Our last visit to Boracay recently we stayed at a resort. In my opinion this was by far a better option. The rooms were cleaned daily and your laundry done if you required (for a small fee).  They (the housekeepers) also prepared a fantastic dinner for us and a couple of friends.  

The location meant we had no shortage of restaurants to choose from and of course the beautiful beach right out in front. 

Myumi is beautifully constructed with foot thick walls throughout, beautiful wooden and tiled floors, comfortable attractive furniture, security 24/7. 

I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, and if we bring family, we would stay preferably on the ground floor or first floor with 2 bedrooms in each.



Our multigeneration family of 13 stayed at the Mayumi Beach house and had the most wonderful Christmas; wish we could have stayed longer. The view of the beach and ocean at daybreak in breathtaking; the house is beautiful, w/ 3 all floors just right for all of us and designed to truly enjoy the natural beauty just outside your doors and patios and wide windows. Thanks especially to the entire hardworking and gracious housestaff who cooked many of our delicious meals, kept the premises always clean and made sure the area was secure. Would definitely stay here again. The location is perfect for a quiet restful family vacation being further from the bustle of the social scene of the island. Some of us were daily visitors of to the next door restaurant for happy hour - real nice.  We all felt like being home away from home. Our stay at Mayumi will be fondly remebered for many, many years to come.

Can’t beat the location and VIEW. While the villa may be a little dated, (but clean!) it makes up by being close enough for a good walk to Station 1 and a staff onsite that was helpful in doing grocery runs and even cooking our breakfast! This part of the beach was less crowded and quieter which was nice. Definitely value for money for the location and other private villa options in that same area. Penthouse top room was warm though and didn’t have internet. 2nd floor was the best.

Wonderful christmas at Mayumi House, 2014

Location and Value for Money

Our family of four stayed in the ground floor apartment for 4 days. 

Pro’s
- Perfect Location - walk out of the door and you are on the most beautiful beach on station 1. 
- Great outdoor area. We had breakfast outside every morning. Lots of shady areas to lounge and read and enjoy the view.
- service - the in-house staff was fantastic. For a small fee they cooked us yummy drinks breakfast  (food bought at cost from the market) and will do laundry. They also went out and bought beers for us. One day I bought fresh fish right in front and they cooked it for lunch. 
- we travelled around the Philippines for a month staying at 5 star resorts so a beach house was a nice change.

Con’s
- for $A600/ night I expected the house itself to be in better condition. The toilet in the second bedroom wobbled every time you sat on it. Very poor lighting thru out the house. Mismatched furniture. Cupboard in bedroom in a very awkward position. The house can do with good maintenance.
- fly screens would be useful so you can sleep with the doors open, enjoy the sea breeze and sound of the ocean.
- we booked via SPR realty and sometimes they were very slow in answering emails. 

Great location but house needs improvement

This house has seen better days.
It must have been built in the late eighties or early nineties and it has not seen any substantial refurbishment since then. Although the location is on the best part of White beach and the terrace with jacuzzi is a nice feature, the facilities overall are now decrepit.
We stayed here for a total of eight nights. One problem is certainly the access to the house which is quite difficult, with steps made of slippery sand bags to bridge the huge gap between the sand level and the actual steps of the house. When there is high tide the sea water reaches the steps of the house.
Outside the entrance there are plastic pipes (probably sewage) and rubbish entangled in the exposed roots of the palms.
The house consists of three self contained apartments, one on each floor.
Each of the first two floors accomodate 4 people, while the third floor accomodates 2 people.
All the kitchen equipment is very basic and very old.
The bathrooms are all run down and unbearably smelly. The only new parts are the toilet bowls. Showers are very basic with only one jet of water from above (no hand held showers). Most showers have defective water emission. Bidet hoses are missing on the third floor and in one of the bathrooms downstairs.
The room on the top is infested by small flies attracted by the light so it's impossible to keep the lights on at night for more than 15 minutes.
The generator, when in function, produces a terrible noise and the staircase at the back of the house smells constantly of fuel.
There is no possibility of beach front chairs as there is only a smallish lanai furnished with sofa beds with torn upholstery and infested by ants. Actually all the ground floor is infested by ants.
Cleanliness is superficial and the rooms are not sistematically cleaned.
The wifi is generally extremely slow and erratic, while it doesn't reach the top floor at all.
At PHP 30,000 per day in low season I think it is bad value for money and would not come back.
