Me and my friend booked tour to Salkantay trek in Atawkama hostel. It was recommended to us as a cheapest option with reasonable service. I must say I was very much satisfied. Tour guide spoke some english, gave us interesting information about the life of incas, food was delicious and plenty. Other members of the our tour group booked through different agencies and payed 100-200USD more than us! For the same tour. During the way there were some problems with the land slides, but it is rainy season and it is mountain trek. You can’t expect you will be as safe trekking as you are watching TV.
