The trip to get their was not necessarily easy, but the attention on site, and then the tour of the San Blas Islands makes for a trip of a lifetime. I would not recommend this trip if you have small children, and they will not fair well, but I would definitely take your teenagers if they are good travellers. Expect to spend a lot of time on a small boat to get in and out of everything, and expect some world class dining on a very small menu. The tour of the San Blas Islands is incredible, because you will see Coral that I have never seen before, as most of the area is very remote. You will also walk through an island village where most of the locals still live on dirt floors. The accommodations at the lodge are individual units over the ocean and the only downside is that if a storm comes through you will lose some sleep as we did. I would not recommend this as a trip, if you are looking for a high luxury experience.
