Mike and Peter were wonderful hosts, beginning and ending at the bus station where they picked us up and left us off.  In between, we enjoyed interesting conversations with them around the breakfast table, learning about Rotorua and possible activities.  The breakfasts were delicious and varied.  The room was clean and comfortable, as was the bathroom across the hall.  We wholeheartedly recommend this bed and breakfast.

We had a lovely stay. The room was lovely and warm with fitted electric blanket.
The room was spotlessly clean with every amenity.
The breakfast was really nice. Mike and Peter are friendly helpful hosts.
The B&B is very close to the centre. Price was very reasonable. Would recommend. Thanks Mike and Peter.

Great Stay

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful BnB! Rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was good - right by Kuirau Park and walking distance to the city centre. Mike and Peter were lovely and helpful with planning daily activities, and the breakfast was delicious!

The level of professionalism offered by the hosts takes this B&B to a level that ensures overnight stays are an absolute delight. Situated in a very quiet area, close to many facilities and eating places further enhances its appeal for those seeking accommodation in Rotorua.

Would stay again

We had two wonderful nights in this wonderful B&B. The hosts Mike and Pete take very good care of their guests and help with the planning of trips and activities. The breakfast is very lovingly prepared and you can talk to the hosts. The room was very clean and well maintained and the bathroom was freshly renovated. There are plenty of parking spaces in front of the house. The area is very quiet and yet you can walk ten minutes to the center of Rotorua where there are many restaurants and bars. We can highly recommend the B&B.

Friendly and very well cared for

This is simply what I expected of an excellent B&B - welcoming, well organised, clean comfortable good sized rooms, a dedicated toilet/shower room for my exclusive use, an excellent varied breakfast (I stayed over 6 nights), within walking distance of all what the town centre has to offer and a competitive price which is good vale for money. I particularly enjoyed sitting together for breakfast & relaxed conversations.
Across the road from the property is Kuirau Park with geo-thermal mud pools & ponds.
Mike & Peter, with their excellent local knowledge & experience of all the local attractions, were very helpful in recommending places to visit, arranging reservations as well as pick-up / drop-off outside the front door if available, and either giving or arranging discounts to attractions, also if available. They even suggested a delightful roadside cafe for lunch at Mangatarata on my drive back to Auckland.

Excellent base in Rotorua

I like to stay at B&B, and this B&B, as other reviewers commented, is good. It is about 3 - 7 blocks away from the city center depends where you'd like to visit. The hosts, Peter and Mike, provided the ride from/and to the local airport. Mike makes breakfast, which always has eggs and grilled tomato. Sometimes, it also has a piece of bacon or a small sausage. Toast if you want. Local jams are delicious. Also, a bowl of fresh fruits and yogurt. Tea, coffee, milk, and juice are also available. The house is spotless and quiet. They provide a lot of travel information, and they make recommendations about tours and restaurants. They also book tours for you if you want. They can also do laundry for you at 10 New Zealand dollars. Everything is cash except for the rent. I wish there was a desk in the room so I could write my dairy. They work hard to keep their rating high. 

I will not stay at this B&B again because I can not relax in their house. There are many rules, which are all reasonable rules to keep the house clean and quiet. There are labels/signs everywhere to remind you things. It makes me feel I was a child and was watched by serious grandparents. I was afraid of making any noise or made any mistakes. I was very careful when I closed the door and tried very hard not to make any noises. Once, the door did make a clicking sound. Then, I realize that Mike was standing behind me and sighed. I felt I was a bad child who could not do a good job of closing a door without making any noise. During my stay, I felt I tried to please Mike because they are so picky and opinionated. After I left Rotura, my flight was delayed so I had to book a room at another hotel. When I woke up at another hotel, I felt so relaxing. It was the time that I realized I was stressed and afraid of making any mistakes in their house. 

 I write this review with an honest heart and respect.  Everything is good about this house, but I want to relax, which is an equally important quality as cleanness, comfort, safe, location, and facilities of a property. I do not wish to have the feeling of being lectured or watched like a kid. There is always a risk when you open your house to any visitors that we will do things differently.  I had good experiences with several B&B in the past. This is a new experience for me. I might stay with chained hotels when I travel next time.

Everything is fine but I will not stay there again

We stayed in Rotorua for 3 nights, and the hosts welcomed us like old friends. The room was very tasty and clean. The breakfast was very generous and delicious. The hosts gave us many great tips for excursions and also took a lot of time to accompany us personally to highlights in and around Rotorua. We are already looking forward to the next visit.

Great accommodation with fantastic hosts

We absolutely loved our stay. Mike and Peter were amazing hosts. They helped us with everything we needed and were incredibly flexible with preparing our breakfast very early in the morning. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The location was very convenient and close to the city center. Just fantastic.
