Hotel 717

We had the joy of spending two nights at Hotel 717 after leaving our original hotel early. Honestly, this place made our trip! The hotel itself is boutique, stylish, and full of character. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully designed, with thoughtful touches like welcome drinks, quality amenities, and a nice turn-down service in the evenings. The bed was huge and super comfy, and the robes and slippers made it feel properly luxurious. We loved relaxing with cocktails in the courtyard, the whole atmosphere and aesthetic of the hotel is just gorgeous. But what really stood out was the staff. Everyone we met was genuinely friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. One lovely member of staff, even gave us a soap shaped like a little boathouse, and we really enjoyed the snacks in the room too. At check-out, they kindly stored our luggage. I later realised I’d left a box of chocolates in the fridge — completely my fault — and although housekeeping had already cleared the room, the team was so apologetic. As a gesture, they gifted us a beautiful box of goodies and even refunded some bits we’d put on the room. Georgio was especially kind and thoughtful — such a credit to the hotel. Honestly, I can’t fault a single thing. If I ever return to Amsterdam, this is where I’ll stay, and I’ll absolutely be recommending it to friends.
