A well located place with absolutely friendly people to have a relaxing, quiet  stopover. Walking distance to the mall. Fireplace helps during cold winter evenings. Breakfast is enough.  Would stay definitely again. 

Although the staff is attentive and kind when present, with limited hours at reception and a broad physical layout, it can be somewhat difficult to find someone working. That often gives the guesthouse a somewhat sleepy feel -- and perhaps even a bit abandoned. However, we had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay here and would recommend it for people looking for a little peace and quiet.

The guesthouse is located in a quiet and safe part of the city. Most of the rooms  are big with DSTV and a small fridge. My room had a little dampness on the wall and no door for the shower so water spilt out during a shower. Otherwise it was great.

Great Guesthouse

We were very disappointed with this guesthouse.  We arrived late afternoon after a long trip.  The gate was closed and so we rang the bell. I rang at least twenty times and there was no answer so I rang the landline and also a mobile number for the guesthouse.  Both phones were constantly engaged for at least 20 minutes ( ringing the door bell in between ) and eventually someone answered the phone and the gate was open.  Not a very good start.  The room that we were given did not feel clean - particularly the carpet. There was only one bath towel for 2 people but 5 bath mats! The guesthouse was deserted - I am sure we were the only guests.  There was no possibility to get dinner so we had to go to a shopping mall a short distance away.  The breakfast was adequate. The lady who seemed to be in charge was friendly but I am afraid the place was not professionally run.

Would Not Recommend

I use to enjoy the questhouse, but admit the quality of service has gone down. 
I could not sleep later than 6h30 as the noise the kitchen staff make is unasked for. No consideration for sleeping guests.
Was met at the gate by a sweaty security guard who stood with a few other men at the gate in the dark on arrival. I got a fright as he walked to my car. He showed me to my room, and the smell inside was not great.
I did not have a dstv remote to change channels on my arrival. Had to ask for it the next morning.
I have to have wifi access which was never a problem, this time I had huge problems. I asked the manager and she said her phone is connected. After a frustrating 3 days they realized their airtime was in a minus.
Day 2 I asked for water as the fridges was not filled up as it use to be. After asking more than once, water was only supplied the night before my departure which they went to buy after I complained.
Breakfast was a huge disappointment. For 2 days, nothing was put out. No fruit, no yogurt, not even milk for coffee, the only thing prepared. I was told they will make me something from the kitchen. I had to get yogurt out myself. Didn't bother to ask for fruit.
Friendliness does not always make up for bad service.
