Haus Garnison Bed & Breakfast

My daughter and I have just stayed 2 nights at Haus Garnison at the end of a trip through Namibia. The rooms were lovely and clean, great wifi, and the manager made us feel really welcome and let us stay in the room longer as my daughter wasn't well and went out of her way to get us to the airport on time when the organised transfer was running very late. Thanks so much. Highly recommend your establishment.

Located just 3 min from the beach, and convenience stores, family-friendly, great service, good breakfast, and very competitive price. It's really hard to say "no" to this place. It has a small but beautiful garden and it just makes

The room was clean, well-appointed and comfortable. The location was excellent being close to a supermarket and liquor outlet. The owner was very personable and looked after individual needs (in my case gluten-free breakfast, even baking a special loaf of bread for toast)

Me and my girlfriend stayed for 2 nights and I would like to stay longer but unfortunately we had to go back. The lady was soooooooo nice to us and helped us to make the stay as comfortable as possible. She is always positive and is the best host we've ever had. Moreover the breakfast is incredible! Self-made banana bread muffins and  eggs and bacon made our trip incredible. So if you want to stay in Swakopmund, choose Haus Garnison !!!

This lovely B&B has good and clean rooms (incl good showers).  There is a little garden area and lots of flowers. It is located near the Spar. The beach is about 5-10 min walk. The owner is a nice lady, very helpful.

Nice, big Room, and friendly and very helpful staff. However, the common areas are a bit small and overall less suitable for backpackers than other places in Swakopmund.
We still enjoyed our stay here.

So great to get here all the way from Australia. The manager made us feel at home and was wonderful. Breakfast was excellent, wifi free and fast and very close to the supermarket, really great considering we had a room with a little kitchenette. 

Close to town as well so easy to wander around the whole town. A lot of local knowledge and we didn’t have to worry about anything. Very safe. 

Can’t wait to visit Namibia and Swakopmund again and would definitely stay here again.

Felt like home 

This place is adequate. The shower was weak, and although they have actual clotheslines, they don't want you to use them and you're forced to pay for laundry.
The room was very clean, and there is a coffee pot.
There are separate taps for cold and hot in the room; why places do this, I have NO idea! The sink was also very small, yet there was room for a larger one.
It is conveniently located near the beach, as well as walking distance to the shops in the middle of town.
You could probably find a better deal elsewhere as there are many hotels.

Adequate, but you could probably do better

Rooms were clean and comfy but owner was not very welcoming and seemed annoyed at times at having to make breakfast at certain times of the morning, which was very underwhelming as food was cold and very little for example only 1 tablespoon of scrambled eggs and 1 piece of bacon. The rest of the time you were forced to make your own food like toast and pour your own drinks, sometimes felt like we were being trouble for the owner who also overcharged us for our laundry service and keeps getting confused on payment arrangements which is very concerning.

Comfortable but unwelcoming

The Host was very unfriendly and the staff were not attentive the basic needs of the guests,

If you wanted hot water for your coffee you were directed to the luke warm water on the filter machine, breakfast was a nightmare, unless to went up to the kitchen and placed your order you did not get it.

The rooms were stuffy and heaps of fruit flies.
