It was a real pleasure to arrive in Myanmar and be driven to Classique Inn to start our holiday. It is an 11-room boutique hotel, owned by a Myanmese family. I was so pleased to know our money was going into the local community. Our room was quite small but comfortable. Very comfy beds and a bathroom with good shower, good hot water supply and very good and quiet AC if you needed it. The whole place was spotlessly clean and, being in the diplomatic district, leafy green and very quiet. If you want to be in the centre of downtown, this is not the place for you. We had a good breakfast in the outside, shady eating area. We had arrived quite late the evening before and were too tired to go out, so the hotel offered their menu and suggested two light, local dishes - tea leaf salad and lentil soup. Both delicious and just fitted the bill. A very nice stay and I would certainly go back there if I was in Yangon again.
