I don’t have words to describe our guide AZIZ! Incredible, helpful, friendly, etc, arent enough to describe him! If you have to travel to morocco, choose AZIZ as your guide. 
Our suitcase didn’t arrive to the airport and he went with us three times to the airport to ask for the suitcase (it doesnt matter the hour). He even took us shopping for clothes even it wasnt his job. 
We wanted to buy a specific cushion and AZIZ spoke with his friends and with a lot of people so we could get it. AZIZ even took us to Medina so we could buy the cushion even though it wasn't on his itinerary. 
Going to the desert he explained to us all the villages and the entire territory in a fantastic way.

Such an amayzin  place to stay over night, the staff there are very kind and helpful. The best place in the desert. Mahjoub is one of my favourite staff there. I will definitely recommend this place. I will came back again and spend more night in this haven desert

We had an amazing time at the camp. Despite the awfully hot temperature (45 degrees plus), we enjoyed having the all camp to ourselves. A perk of going to the desert off season. We had tea in the desert, a very nice camel ride to see the sunset, way too much good food, a sky full of stars and a bone fire with local songs.
The tent is well equipped, with bathrooms, showers, sofa and everything you need. It was extremely hot due to the season, but it was nice to wake up early in the morning to see the sun rise.
Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. Dinner was amazing and breakfast too. The landscape is sensational. Highly recommended.

This was my second time of overnight on Sahara. What made this overnight so unique in my opinion was the long drive across the Sahara once the road ended.  Our regular Morocco guide Rachid recommended this camp as it is "more wild" compared to our first camp three years ago.  If you have never camped on the Sahara, highly recommend the experience.  Riding camels across the Sahara or climbing sand dunes is a great experience. The Sahara is very quite, great place to escape a busy life. This camp has nice tents, running water, good food, and comfortable area to sit outside.  The drivers that took us across the Sahara handled the vehicles very good.   The manager and his staff did their best to make our stay comfortable. We were traveling across Morocco on a 15 day tour as a group of 10 with a private driver and guide.

The amazing guys at Caravane du sud made our experience all the more incredible by helping everyone with the camels, leading us in the desert wind during Ramadan and making us feel at home at the camp. The camp is just behind the first dunes making it feel completely secluded even though it is relatively close to zagora. The camp it self is very authentic and charming. The private tents are very comfortable and the communal bathroom was very clean. The food and entertainment was on point! Bonus points for the international element of the experience as you can enjoy your tea a la mente along the company of people from all aroung the world!

Expect long car journeys - however, this is totally worth it for the experience in the desert. The entire team of Berbers who collect you and take you into the desert are honestly some of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet. They genuinely care so much about creating the best experience for you. Their hospitality is some of the best We’ve ever seen. The camp is comfortable, cosy and clean with hot water and plenty of blankets. The camels are well looked after. The experience is simply unforgettable, made better by the group of guys who run it. Hope to see them again soon!

Very nice staff with an excellent taste of berber authenticity. They played music and talked to us about the ways of the desert. We definitely want to go back and spend more time with them and listen to their stories and music.

The Caravane du Sud facilitated our overnight stay at Zagora, provided the Camel transportation to the Desert and prepared the diner and breakfast. The tent was nice and had enough blankets to cope with the night temps. 

The food was good and our host very nice.

From the moment we arrived in Zagora I knew that we were in great hands. We rode Camels to the camp site and our guide Adi was amazing.  We climbed to the top of a peak to see the breathtaking sunset over the desert.  Adi was a great .  When we arrived at the camp it was so nice to have the warm Reception we had from Yassin and Karim.  Me and my friend were also excited to meet all the other travelers that were joining us for the night.  Everyone was warm, inviting and from all over the world.  The facilities were better than I imagined, spacious, clean, and beautiful. The food was out of this world, and you could tell it was cooked with love.  We loved the entertainment and we sang and danced and had a  great time.  Again i felt like the staff was my family and i look forward to coming back and experiencing this again.  Thank you to Caravan du Sud for providing us with an excellent camping experience.

Although only about a mile off the road (4x4's recommend to get there), the desert camp is utterly quiet and feels very isolated. The stars at night, with zero light pollution, are a joy to behold. The luxury tents are extremely comfortable. The desert can be very cold at night but we had loads of bedding and even hot water bottles!
We did not take advantage of it, but there are tours deeper into the desert on camels. Great for the whole family.

A wonderful night in the desert

In itself a wonderful experience but extra special thanks to the amazing accommodating staff! You feel very welcome and well-taken care off. Both dinner & breakfast were delicious. Also, totally celiac-friendly: they were able to serve me gluten-free options of almost everything, for which I'm grateful. By the way we loved the jam session with local instruments, just perfect! Considering your are in the middle of nowhere amenities are just awesome (especially the comfy beds & your private bathroom in the tent are a plus). The only thing that does deserve a bit more attention is the trip to the camp (and back). It would be nice if a little more information was provided beforehand about the duration and what to expect along the way. Now we weren't sure about offered mini tours, nor if they were included etc.

Absolutely Amazing Experience

A very different experience

Me and my sister stayed at the Zagora camp of Caravane Du Sud this January. I read good things online about the company and they definitely did not disappoint! The camel ride to the camp was beautiful with sunset and the camp itself looks really good with the Moroccan blankets, lights and big tents. 

On arrival there's tea and after that a delicious dinner. We had the privilege to stay in the Tizi Plus camp and that's definitely worth it. There are so many blankets available you simply can't be cold during the night, there's a toilet and a hot shower. Definitely luxury for a desert camp!

The best thing about our stay though was the staff. They made sure we had everything we needed, made music for us and they taught us more about the Moroccan / berber culture. We wished we had stayed longer but we will definitely be back to visit the other camps that are even more in the desert (Zagora is just the beginning of the desert). 

Compared to the other camps around Zagora, Caravane du Sud is definitely the best choice from what we've heard from other travelers!

Amazing stay at Caravane du Sud in Zagora!

It was more than two hours in 4x4's to reach the camp so not as atmospheric an arrival as the desert camp ex Merzouga via camels. The camp itself, however, was far better appointed that the first one. The tents were huge, you could stand up in them and there were electrical outlets. There was a large, central area for late afternoon mint tea and nibbles. The tajine for dinner was better too. For more tents, the ablution block was smaller. The dunes of Erg Chegaga  were of course climbed for sunset, the atmosphere compromised by a young German brat.  Many locals provided evening entertainment with singing and musical instruments. A minor sandstorm on the way out only added to the allure of the experience.
