Riad Nirvana

Riad Nirvana was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Marrakesh. It’s in the heart of the Kasbah, just a five-minute walk from a palace and the Medina by the Kasbah Mosque, so it's perfect if you want to experience staying in that historic part of the city. What really stood out were the hosts, Jean-Pierre and Anna. They were genuinely lovely and seemed to take the time to understand what you wanted from your stay. They were attentive without being overbearing, and you really do feel like part of the family, which is surprising considering we were only there for seven days. This was our first time staying in a riad, and their warmth made the experience even better. The riad itself is beautiful. It’s designed in a way that works for all kinds of guests. When we stayed, there were couples, families, and just me and my sister, and it felt like everyone had their space. The courtyard is stunning, with tiles, plants, canaries, and a fountain – just a lovely spot to relax. The terrace upstairs has plenty of places to lounge too. Our room was great—really comfortable, with everything we needed, and more than we expected. But honestly, the breakfasts were my favourite part. There were different types of homemade pancakes, breads, jams, and hands down the best coffee I've ever had. It was such a good spread every morning. They’re well-connected with local travel agencies, so booking excursions was easy. And if you’re up for it, I highly recommend the onsite massage—it was incredible and on par with the hammam experience we had. They also helped with taxis to and from the riad, which made things really convenient. All in all, it was a fantastic experience. Definitely one of the best places I’ve stayed, and I can see why it’s so highly rated. I’d absolutely recommend it—it was one of the best parts of our time in Marrakesh.
