19 reviewsFirst thing is a warning, 185 Derb Sidi Messaoud is not easy to find, however, Rue El Gza, Bab Doukkala is. So please contact the Riad by phone unless you have been there before. If you have, it is easy to forget where the problem finding it was, but an unseen door, at the end of an alley off Derb Sidi Messaoud can be missed. I am firmly in the location rather than quality camp, so the rooms do not have TV, or often WiFi up on the top floor. To be honest, it doesn't matter, just wear yourself out exploring the Medina and souk of Marrakesh and have some food at a handy restaurant, or in the Riad itself. Ask the owner if you need anything, from tea, coffee or meal prices to be found in Marrakech, sights to see or directions to "The Square", he is a mine of useful information. It was my first stay in Morocco, but it certainly isn't planned to be my last and for a basic, beautiful old style riad this one is surely hard to beat; from the roof you can even see the bus station less than five minutes walk away.
