Casa de las Palomas was a relaxing and beautiful place to stay. I enjoyed every area of my room. The room was cleaned daily. Service and staff were professionals. The hotel is a unique and charming place. Loved it and I still can’t get over it. I highly recommend it.

we had a WONDERFUL stay at casa de las palomas. the rooms were CLEAN and the beds and pillows were COMFY. the staff was very friendly and accommodating. the AC gets COLD. i LOVED the outdoor showers.i have ZERO complaints about my 4 night stay.

Beautiful remodeled home in the heart of Merida. Great vive, comfortable, elegant and decorated with good taste.We were not sure about the neighborhood as the rest of the homes look a little older and unkempt but it turned out to be great.Sofia was really nice

A beautiful property, from the moment you enter you realise you have entered a tranquil oasis. Stylishly designed throughout, the property flows well. The pool and breakfast area is truly wonderful. Love the combination of a/c and fan for the room to keep it cool in the high heat. The staff were all so welcoming and friendly. The restaurant recommendation was excellent. Great location to enjoy Merida. We had a wonderful time. Thank you!

Beautifully styled boutique hotel, well designed and decorated. The room was quite nice and had a wonderful private outdoor shower! The staff were responsive and friendly and this place is walking close to a lot of great dining and shopping.

The staff were outstanding. They wanted to please their guests.Wifi worked well.The television worked but was outdated with no option to utilize a personal Firestick.( USB) The option that would top these rooms off would be a mini fridge. To be able to keep perishables and cold water would be a asset.

casa de palomas is a hidden gem within a few blocks from Calle 60. Sophia and the rest of the staff were lovely, very attentive and went above and beyond. The side streets off Calle 60 are a bit rough around the edges, but come to life at night. Bring a good pair of walking shoes and prepare for uneven ground. There are plenty of great restaurants and art galleries a walk away.

Honestly the best location!Such a surprise once you walk through the doors, the pics are accurate but they can’t capture the tall ceiling and true beauty.The staff are ALL amazing and helpful, by recommending restaurants to supplying what you need.I’ve never been to a play where the staff are as involved in ensuring stay is perfect.Their English is amazing, so no worries about lack of communication.The pool is always cleaned! Yes the wind pics up and old leaves drop in! But they clean several times a day!!Always sweeping and cleaning the area.Very impressed, would recommend to travels who like quite beautiful spaces.Outdoor shower is fun..and for those that complain, it’s Mexico! Not everything is perfect :)

This hotel is nice.  The staff is lovely- so cheerful and helpful. The rooms are spacious and it has a nice swimming pool in the middle of the property.  There were 2 couples in our party.  One had a nice room on the ground floor, the other was okay.  The bathroom in the second room was tiny and in need of paint and renovation.  Two people could not fit.  We had to take turns using the bathroom.  As for the breakfast, we were not impressed.  When they said they offered yogurt, it was a tablespoon with the fruit.  The fruit available was apple, banana and a couple of blueberries.  No mango and no papaya or any other tropical fruit.  Very strange!  We only ate at the hotel once since it was so disappointing.

Tranquil oasis

Casa De Las Palomas is a stunner.  An oasis at the very convenient corner of Calles 49 and 64, such a wonderful place to come home to from your Merida adventures.  Everything is understated elegance, from the lobby torn from the pages of Architectural Digest, to the bosky pool courtyard and dining areas.  Rooms are big on tile, exposed rock, and local woods, with courtyard views.  My room, #6, had a downright decadent outdoor rain shower, featuring hot water and strong pressure--not always found in Mexican hotels.  Good bed, quiet overnight.  Staff is friendly and eager to please.  I sense a hotel of this calibre would be twice, three times the price in Bali or Tulum, so a decent value too.A few quibbles:  I would have loved a chair or loveseat in the room.  There is space for a refrigerator in the cabinet, again would have been a welcome addition.   And given that the pool is the hotel's central feature, hotel staff should aim to clean pool more often--pool caught a lot of leaves and debris that daily or twice daily cleaning would have removed.  Small things.On the balance, a strong recommendation for your hotel choice in beautiful Merida.

A stunner in Merida

Absurd in its beauty. The food was 10/10, the rooms were perfect and so artistically rendered. I cannot wait to come back. Staff were SO helpful and responded to WhatsApp messages quickly.Note the grand master suite is up near the main courtyard and the ceilings are tall so noises will echo. If you prefer a quieter room (to me it still felt private as a solo traveler but for partners it might be less intimate) I’d suggest a room towards the back.

Perfection

My partner and I had an excellent experience at La Casa de las Paloma’s. We had many questions to which the staff were happy to answer and help with any of our needs. They were so hospitable, welcoming and friendly! They helped us book our relaxing message service and explain the extra services that they offer. Although the weather was not in our favor to enjoy the pool, it was gorgeous and clean. We loved the breakfast included in our stay and my wife enjoyed the horchata brew! Definitely recommend staying at La Casa de las Palomas for your next trip!

Beautiful boutique hotel that’s convenient and walkable. The restaurant, IZEL, is open for breakfast and is excellent. Only a few rooms - we wish ours had been a bit further from the lobby as it was loud multiple times between the hotel entry keypad and guests rolling suitcases around early in the morning. Our particular room shared a wall with the office (which was more of a privacy concern on our part than loud). I’d try to request a quieter room next time. Great spot, with great staff and design - I’d highly recommend!

Firstly, the hotel is beautiful.  Lovely landscaped courtyard with dipping pool. The room had a large and comfortable king bed opening to a courtyard patio.  Very clean, quiet and comfortable.  The hotel is in a very convenient location for walking and is a prime street for live music, nice restaurants and a some of the more interesting shopping.  Finally, the staff was lovely and very helpful. Someone is always on call and helped us with plans, transportation and other accommodations.  Couldn’t hade Ben happier with our stay
