Fronterizo

This was my third trip to Santa Maria but I was initiating three friends. All they could say was this is SO PEACEFUL! We only went for lunch after a one day trip to visit Lagunas de Montebello from San Cristobal. We were treated so professionally and kindly. Paco was the name of our waiter and he was excellent. We started with a platter of regional specialties which we devoured. All of us will try new things. we moved on to a potato leek soup, and then a stuffed hen. The latter was new to us all and we could not stop eating it. But wait...the bananas foster and the almond flan were the best! We did not leave a crumb...we are coming back to stay next spring.
