Marriott Cancun, An All-Inclusive Resort

I stayed here for 8 days with my 8-year-old son and had a wonderful experience overall. This is truly one of the cleanest resorts I’ve ever visited - everything from the rooms to the common areas and the pool is exceptionally well maintained and spotless. While the beach wasn’t a highlight for us, we didn’t come here for the beach, so it wasn’t an issue. What really stood out was the friendliness of the staff - everyone from the housekeepers and lobby attendants to the bell staff, front desk, and servers greeted us with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. A special mention to the entertainment team—especially Miguel, the supervisor, and J (I didn’t catch his full name, but he did the announcements) they were kind, energetic, and made an effort to connect with guests. I do wish there had been more entertainment activities throughout the day, especially those geared toward families. When we stayed at the Royalton in the Dominican Republic, the ongoing activities made the days feel more lively and interactive for both kids and adults. The kids club was the one area that fell a bit short for us. It might be better suited for younger children, but for my 8-year-old, the activities weren’t very engaging. The staff there didn’t feel as warm or welcoming as the rest of the team, which was surprising. Room comfort was great and the amenities met our needs. The only issue was with the shampoo and conditioner provided, it’s a brand I’ve seen often at Marriott properties, but it seemed slightly different here and left my hair dry. It also caused a strong stinging sensation when it got in my eyes. We mostly used room service, which was prompt and convenient. Breakfast options were solid, though the lunch and dinner menus were a bit limited. We tried one restaurant briefly but didn’t enjoy the tuna or ribeye. However, the seafood mix ceviche by the pool was excellent and became a go-to lunch for us. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this resort for its outstanding cleanliness and consistently excellent service.
