8 reviewsMeson Don Quixote is a block from the Plaza - about 3 blocks from the Malecon and the Lake Chapala Society where the ex-pats hang out doing all sorts of things. Meson Don Quixote was clean and the breakfasts were wonderful. Fresh fruit, eggs prepared as you like, meat if you want it as well. I discovered tortilla de espanola and have a new favorite egg dish. Paola is the owner/manager and is fluent in English as well as Spanish. Adrianna was friendly and helpful as well. Both were extremely competent and welcoming. Any down side? The beds were hard (by USA standards) and that seems to be a Mexico thing. This is a homey, personable specialty inn with a huge courtyard filled with trees and plants -- not a corporate hotel in a big city. Adjust your expectations accordingly and you'll be very happy. Next time we're here, I hope they have a room open. We loved it.
