Kuramathi Maldives

from landing at Male and getting on the seaplane to the resort to the very last step on the dock this whole island is exceptional. Seaplane 10/10. Honestly, try it, it is such an experience (and much quicker) Staff 10/10. Everyone on the island is amazing and cannot do enough for you, from the maintenance guys to the cleaners and restaurant staff up to the management. Rooms 10/10. We stayed in the 2 bed beach house and from the moment we stepped in the door it was wonderful. really spacious with plenty of cupboard space for a family. Really well hidden in amongst the trees etc. everything was again simply amazing. Food 10/10. we were on the basic AI and the buffet restaurants were fantastic. Plenty of choice and different themed everyday. We did try a couple of the restaurants (Palm, Kobe, Siam) and they were a step up and very nice (20% discount too because of the basic AI) Drinks 10/10. Again, as we were basic AI there was a choice of a lot of different cocktails and spirits etc. Premium spirits were extra for example, grey goose was chargeable whereas smirnoff was included. Plenty of choice so no need to worry! Pools 10/10. We used the main pool near reception 1 mostly. Perfect position to play in the pool or as it is on the beach that is where the main snorkeling area was, we could just switch it up all day. The spa pool has a really different feel. Very tranquil and worth a visit. Lagoon bar pool wasnt as kid friendly but still useable. and another great setting. Sandbank 10/10. You just have to see it! a great bonus to an unforgettable island. Renewal of vows 10/10. We got married here! Wish was amazing from the first meeting to the ceremony, to every question we had. If you were thinking of doing this definitely get the video package from the on island photo team Shutterfish. They produced nothing short of excellent direction and finished product. The island in general 10/10. it was nothing short of amazing in every way. if you can afford it, GO. we hope to return one day definitely. there are very few first timers, everyone we spoke to was a returning customer and that says a lot. It has its own eco centre, a fully sustainable island, an immaculate football pitch which we used almost everyday, frequent buggy service around the resort, perfect beaches, perfect pools. You just couldnt ask for anything more. In summary this whole resort is a must go. i doubt we will ever go anywhere as perfect as Kuramathi! Thank you everyone.
