Dhiggiri Nakai Resort

This was not my first time in the Maldives, but it was definitely the most enchanting. The island is a paradise, yet this is not hard to find in the Maldives. However; Dhiggiri offers a unique blend of boutique natural beauty and exceptionally warm, professional service. I always seek tranquillity, and here I found it in every moment: in the open ocean with the reef right in front of my villa, where I spent hours floating, knowing almost exactly where I would encounter a turtle, a stingray, or even a mobula and gentle sharks. I gazed at the starry sky during peaceful evenings and felt the sand under my feet with each step across the island, which is so tiny that you can walk around it in five minutes or swim around the entire reef in an hour. The villas are spacious and immaculate, and the island strives to preserve nature. But it is not just the island. I was touched by the people I met there, who warmly and wholeheartedly welcome you in a way that makes you immediately feel like you belong. Marko, the manager, oversees the resort with incredible professionalism, transforming it into an oasis of peace while still offering entertainment and a wealth of sports activities. Everything flows smoothly, seamlessly integrating into the resort's rhythm. His skill is also evident in the wonderful energy of the entire team. I don't have enough words to praise each of them. Mary was the first to greet me upon my arrival and did everything possible to make my stay beautiful and unforgettable. The Dive Center is amazing. Sam leads it professionally while maintaining the friendliest attitude, which reflects on everyone. Serena, who always helped with a smile between her dives, Gaia, who seems born to be a mermaid and is an enthusiastic snorkelling guide, Alice, who knows everything about flora and fauna, Naiamur, who ensured everything was ready... And Marko, to whom I am most thankful for first encouraging me to pursue my advanced dive certificate and then guiding me, with much laughter, while taking the greatest care to make dives safe and beautiful, to the underwater magical world of Dhiggiri. I would like to emphasise how much support I received during a serious health issue when I needed medical assistance. I cannot express enough gratitude to the entire diving team, who was besides me every moment, and especially to Marko, who took exceptional care of me and all the procedures regardless of the time until I was absolutely fine, to Mary, who was there as long as needed, and particularly also to Dr. Mnikandan, for providing care in the most professional yet comforting manner. Not the least: the food on the island is delicious, and Chef Francesco ensures you indulge in the flavours of his cuisine also at the overwater restaurant. Arif, who served my table with cheerful words and a smile, brightened each of my meals with sunlight, and I thank him for that. I would like to mention everyone, as I will always remember their smiles, but I simply can't. So; simply Thank you, and see you again.
