Cinnamon Velifushi Maldives Hotel

We had a wonderful experience from the welcome at the airport right through the next 5 days stay at the resort. The resort lived up to the photos on the website and was even more beautiful in reality. The island is stunning with its white sands and crystal clear waters. The over-the-water villa was amazing with breathtaking views of the ocean and sunsets. It provided an unparalleled experience of snorkelling with colourful fish right outside the deck. I recommend you book the villa with Jacuzzi as we made the most of that feature. The King size bed was comfy and you even get a pillow menu. We chose the all-inclusive package which was great as the food, drinks and cocktails were served to us by the friendly staff. The in-room bar fridge also had a good supply of drinks. It was relaxing to not worry about extra charges. All the staff were very attentive and friendly. Shout out to Shameem who was our very cheerful Food and Beverage waiter who looked after us during the meals. Also thanks to Nia and Priscilla for the massage; Aqua Aerobics instructor and staff at reception/bar/housekeeping. The dive shop, Dive & Sail, was conveniently located at the island. We had an amazing dive with Grey Reef Sharks at Miyaru Kandu which was like watching sharks swimming across a busy highway (“Shark Channel”). The snorkelling excursion was the best as we were lucky enough to swim with giant Mantas, a hungry Hawksbill Sea Turtle, pods of dolphins, Black Tip Reef Sharks and over friendly Nurse Sharks. Shout out to Nicole and Sam (Dive Masters). Especially Sam who looked after us well and I’ll cherish the underwater videos you shared. We will always look back fondly of our memories in The Maldives.
