Our 3rd trip to the Maldives and our second visit to Oblu Sengeli which in itself tells you something. We had a fabulous holiday and everything written in prior reviews about the resort is so true. The one thing that makes it for us are the staff.....they are all just completely brillant, friendly and so considerate however special mention this trip goes to Adam, Shifaz, Sia, Mohamed, Happy (yes really), Edina and Shamhaan. Prior visit we had stayed in a beach villa with pool however as the villa is right on the beach we found we never used the pool so this trip we stayed in a beach villa without pool and it wasn't missed. Our villa was down the end by the reception and close by where the boats are moored. This might not sure everyone as there can be some days quite a bit of activity however it worked well for us as it's also near Sangs bar so absolutely no complaints! If you think you want more peace and quiet then ask for a villa down the other end of the beach villas 120 > 135..... however your pina colada might be melted when you get back to your villa Of course in any resort/hotel you can always find something amiss or not 100% however the staff will always endeavour to put things right to ensure you have a great holiday. For us, on arrival we felt we wanted a table and couple chairs outside the villa on the veranda so we could sit and relax in the evenings. We also felt the two beach sunbeds were of an older type and uncomfortable. Both issues were resolved by Shifaz within minutes of our request. Nothing is too much trouble so if you visit Sengeli and need anything just ask. I could go on about the buffet food, the two a la carte resturants, the spa, the snorkeling experiences etc. just take it from me everything is fantastic and Oblu Select Sengeli is truly a 5* resport.
