We have visited the Maldives on a number of occasions in the past and always to the same island, after all, why go elsewhere when you love a place so much ? This time, we decided to look for somewhere different and finally decided on Komandoo as our destination choice, and on arrival, it was immediately clear we had made the right choice. The vast majority of reviews we read all praised the "Champions" , the guys that can either make ( or break) your hard earned leisure time. Got to say, these guys really made our stay totally enjoyable, from the welcome reception, to the bar-staff, restaurant staff, house keepers, gardeners and back room staff, without any of these Komandoo would not function. There are so many brilliant individuals, all a credit to this resort, it is a little unfair on them to single out individuals for special mention, but here goes... Youseff Saeed our smiling, tower artist housekeeper, kept us tide and supplied with treats, wine and TEABAGS , also star of Friday nights Maldivian nights entertainment ! Asitha and Dilpendra (sorry if i misspelt your name!), kept our supplies of cocktails coming. Leem and Dickshana, welcoming morning , lunchtime and evening smile in the restaurant. Riza, our waiter for the whole 2 weeks, confused him occasionally be asking for tea instead of coffee at breakfast.. So many more of you , too many to mention, but all made sure our stay was enjoyable. Did I mention the island itself? Absolutely pristine, just read all the other reviews - we cant all be wrong . If you are thinking about booking, just do it, guarantee you will be happy with your choice.. As a one-off, we also visited the 5.8 Undersea restaurant on Hurawahli, an expensive treat but definitely an experience not to be missed . We made friends in a wonderful couple in the next villa, Thomas and Beate from Frankfurt, if you read this Thomas, Hello and hope you are both well? Finally, a confession. On arriving home, I found our Komandoo villa room key in my case. Thought about posting it back, but have decided to try and bring it back personally next year! Hope you dont mind too much Beyya !!
