Hurawalhi Island Resort

We spent ten days on Huawahli over New Year's Eve. It was already the ninth island we had visited. Hurawalhi is an adults-only island (ages 15 and up). After arriving by seaplane, which took about 45 minutes, we were taken to our Beach Pool Villa Sunset (106). It was beautifully located with a wide beach, but we would definitely choose Sunset again, as there are breakwaters on the other side. The villa was very nice with sun loungers with cushions and a covered couch, so you could sit outside even if it rained. We found it advantageous that the bathroom was accessible from the beach side, but it is not open air, which did not bother us. In general, we found the island to be very personal. We were greeted by name. We got to know the staff and felt like part of a family. The hotel manager also came by regularly, greeted us, and made pleasant small talk. The food was very, very good. We also visited the underwater restaurant. It's not cheap, but it's an experience you should treat yourself to at least once. The restaurant on the pier, which you could visit for lunch and dinner with a reservation, was fantastic: great view, live lounge music, pure relaxation. Since we were traveling with our 15-year-old son, it was an advantage that there was a games room with billiards, table tennis, and so on. We also visited the gym regularly. However, it could be better equipped. There was a soccer field, tennis court, badminton court, and activities such as water polo and soccer matches were organized regularly. On New Year's Eve, guests were taken to a small sandbank where they could enjoy a magnificent view, snacks, drinks, and live music. Afterwards, guests were taken back to the main restaurant (by boat). There, the evening continued with great live music and a party. As we are snorkelers and the house reef is always very important to us, we were not disappointed – it was the best house reef we have seen so far and was also easily accessible. You could either enter from the water villas or the transport jetty. The guests were generally very pleasant, a good mix. We would like to thank Omas again, who greeted us every day with a smile and became like a friend to us. We really appreciated his presence, but also that of the other staff, who were sensational, always friendly, and recognized you from afar. We enjoyed our vacation to the fullest and can only recommend Hurawalhi. Service, reef, food, management, villas – TOP!!!
