Hurawalhi Island Resort

We stayed at Hurawalhi for 5 nights in August 2025 — 2 nights in a Sunset Beach Pool Villa and 3 nights in a Romantic Ocean Villa, with the All-Inclusive Plus package. We also added the 5.8 Undersea Restaurant Dinner, Japanese Teppanyaki lunch, Twilight Snorkeling Safari, and Dolphin Sunset Cruise. To be honest, I came mainly for the snorkeling and peace — not the Instagram scenes — so I didn’t have overly high expectations. But everything at Hurawalhi blew us away. 🌊 The Villas: Both rooms were private, quiet, and well located (#106 and #208 — highly recommend). No breakwater in front, and just the right walking distance to restaurants. I especially loved the netted bed on the ocean villa — perfect for stargazing at night with a drink in hand. 🍴 The Food: Incredible. Every meal was delicious — no repeats, no misses. Even with AIP’s 6-item limit per meal, we always left full and satisfied. So many drinks to choose from too (50+), and the cocktails were truly varied and fun. The 5.8 Undersea dinner was the biggest surprise — we expected a tourist trap, but the food quality was Michelin 2–3 star level, and dining with fish swimming around you was magical. The Teppanyaki lunch, however, didn’t quite match the à la carte quality — a bit salty, and I’d skip it next time. 💁‍♀️ The Service: Flawless. Our host Hajar was available day and night, super responsive, organized and thoughtful. Azid at the main restaurant customized our drinks based on my preferences, gave great food tips and share stories about local cuisine every day. On both our cruises, the crew went above and beyond — from defogging our snorkel masks, wrapping us in towels, offering hot tea, to taking photos without being asked. Probably the best boat service I’ve ever experienced. ⚠️ One Minor Tip: If you're on the AIP plan, be cautious with the minibar. The chargeable and free drinks are placed together with no labels — easy to make a mistake. I had to double-check every bottle with our host, which felt a bit awkward. Would love to see better markings in the future. Overall: Hurawalhi exceeded all our expectations. It’s peaceful, refined, and warm — not flashy, just quietly exceptional. If you love snorkeling, good food, privacy, and true service from the heart, you’ll love it here too. Already on my “must-recommend” list for friends.
