Sometimes we come across a real gem and this is one of them. Pontian Garden Hotel is one of our favourites of our 9 months travels. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable and there is a lovely outside roof top area to enjoy the lovely breakfast in the morning and chill in the evening. The staff were super friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble for them. We had the most delicious fresh pineapples carved for us daily and were given a trip around the surrounding area by Boom the wonderfully charismatic owner. Although a little off the beaten track we fell in love with Pontian and it's people. A trip to Kukup and it's mangrove Island is a must if visiting the area. We couldn't recommend it highly enough, it was an awesome stay.
