Mekong Moon Inn II (Riverside Villa)

What I'm looking for when I travel is a quiet environment with a nice view, preferably from a balcony. I found all this and more at the Mekong Moon Inn ll. I was over the moon when I found it as I was looking for a place driving my scooter around. I immediately booked for 8 days and never regretted it. The room (108) was immacutaly clean and bright (wall to wall windows) and offered an unobstructed view of the Mekong from a large and intimate balcony (2 chairs, 1 table, 1 large sun umbrella) The bed was very comfortable (not one of those hard beds) and the white bedding was nice and fresh. It has a/c (which I didn't need), a flat screen tv with a few english and movie channels, excellent wifi, a small fridge with water bottles every day, a kettle with tea and coffee and a place to put your clothes and suitcase. The bathroom is also up to speed with all you'll need in there provided, even toothbrushes and comb. Last but not least, a very pleasant staff who strives to help you in any way they can without expecting anything in return. Very sincere and genuinely nice people. That always makes the stay more pleasant. There is a restaurant area overlooking the Mekong but you'll need to notify the staff if you plan on eating onsite. The coffee was delicious as was the food. You will need a scooter to get to town and around. You can get one in town for 80,000 kips/day as it appears the hotel does not provide scooters anymore. I'm not that easy to please and I can say I highly recommend this place. I would definitely come back.
