Tad Fane Resort

This spot in the woods, with lovely cabins facing twin waterfalls is a bucolic heaven.
The staff is led by a competent young manager who speaks excellent English, always with a smile. The waterfalls provide background music. Colorful butterflies abound. You can even visit the waterfalls along a zip line.The cabins are comfortable and basic. Not having access to TV in these troubled times is a plus. The food is good, the breakfast is free.
Only a 45 minute drive from Pakse. Don’t forget to bring a light sweater, it gets cool at night.

Best experience after travel 20 years to Laos back and forth between europe and Laos. The Zip line is spectaluar that you need to experience to understand. I dont know how the living is at the resort, but the seam verypolite and the rooms looked really nice. The waterfall is the most impressive I ve seen so far in Laos.

Taking plenty of time to scooter 🛵 the Big Loop of the Bolaven Plateau, we found ourselves drawn to this offer of Jungle Waterfall accommodation. Stopping off at Tad Yuang waterfall mid morning saw us at Tad Fane just after lunch and we were hooked!  Booking a cabin allowed us to dump our packs and spend the afternoon walking the tracks here and at Tad Champi with time early evening to indulge in a beverage with a pretty amazing view. 
The rooms were neat, clean and compact but foremost, one of the ‘Best Beds 🛌’ ever slept on!! Laos mattress’s can be different than most are used too but these were awesome 👏🏻.. oh so comfy!!
Breakfast 🥞 included was nice and varied and the meals at night tasty. 

We spent one night at the Tad Fan Resort in mid-February.  It was nice to get up on the Bolaven Plateau and out of the heat of the lowlands.  The cottages are set in the forest away from the main lodge and waterfall viewpoint, so they are relatively quiet.  That said, the lodge did start playing loud Lao-pop music at 6:30 am.  They did turn it off quickly after we requested the peace and quiet.

The cottages are fairly basic with good plumbing/showers.  They are not fancy but clean enough and the peace and quiet made us wish we had stayed a couple of days.

The restaurant served good food, mostly Laotian and Thai, and had good Laotian coffee...really brewed well!

We relied on Google to take us to Tad Fane Waterfalls and it took us here where we paid 20,000 kip per person to get in and 5,000 kip to park our rented motorcyle.

I love the sound of the birds as soon as we got into the resort. The trees are tall and provided a lot of shade. There are bungalows for overnight stay too. We reached the deck and saw Tad Fane down below, it was underwhelming. We were so far away when we expected to be down where the water is. We tried to ask the staff if we can hike down but they said "no". We're also way up so it might take hours to hike.

There's a pricey zipline on top of the waterfall for $35/person. Interestingly, they also offer ziplining with coffee where they send you over with a table ($60) and overnight stay at the zipline ($200).

We left after taking a fee photos. Nothing else to do. There's souvenir shops on the way out.

Not a good place to see the waterfalls

Located at km 38 Paksong, Highway 16E from the city of Pakse. You have to drive 500m red dirt road to this resort.

Entrance fee is 10,000 Kip / person and 5,000 Kip / motorbike. This is a great place to admire the Tad Fane waterfall, along with a coffee shop counter and rows of wooden chairs and swings.

We did not choose to stay here because it was far from the city center and I found that decision completely correct. Staff do not speak English, they are also very indifferent, not welcoming guests. Buying a bottle of water and settleing the bill is really a big challenge when we cannot understand each other, they are really not acumen in prediction, which is very difficult in communication. I was worried that if we had a problem during the stay, it would be almost impossible for them to understand and resolve the problem.

Disappointed with the service attitude

This is one of the weirdest places I've ever stayed. It is absolutely beautiful. Beautiful dark wood beams and panels everywhere. The location is spectacular. Beautiful jungle right on the edge of a waterfall. Every walk from your bungalow to the restaurant is really beautiful. Now what's the problem? There was no management. The cleaners were doing a really good job. Where was the desk clerk? When I was there at 6 there was nobody working anywhere. The restaurant was dark the front desk was empty. The second night the same thing happened and I was the only guest in the hotel. It was almost like the twilight zone. They don't offer you any rides. I had to just walk away from the hotel up to the main road and catch a truck going by. If this place was managd, they would have so much more business. It is really a shame.

Love the facility and location. 

Waterfallas are amazing! BUT, littering the backyards of the resort is a BIG shame for the resort’s owners. If You wont like to support it with Your money, dont stay there. Look at the photos!

In additional I have to update the entrance fee, because up to latest lonely planet guide it should be 5000 kip, now is 10000 kip + 5000 for motorbike parking

Unfortunately stayed here for 2 nights,the fall is lovley, but it’s only a view , no walks or trekking. The staff are great but the accommodation is very basic and not very clean, beds o.k. .The restaurant was o.k.but certainly does not offer good value for money as you are a captive ordinance  . The whole place is very poorly run.
