Mini Pansionat Kalinka

Stayed 2 nights at KGS 2,200 per night. Nice outdoor patio with tables and umbrellas to provide shade. Room was basic with 2 single (comfortable) beds. Not overly large but ok for a night or two (which is all you need if your just here to check out the lake) Linen provided as well as a (small) towel. Fridge, TV, electric jug and cupboard in room. Bathroom on the small side with shower hose you needed to hold. Water was hot. You are a 4 minute walk up the hill to the Main Street and 4 minutes down to the Lake (which isn't really anything special). A number of restaurants in the Main Street and various smaller shops relatively close to the guesthouse. The road back down isn't lit at night but seemed safe enough walking back at 9pm both nights. No English spoken but the young girl at check in cleverly used her phone app to translate - not sure there is a reception as such. WIFI worked OK in the courtyard but struggled a little in the room. No complaints given the price. Shared taxi was KGS 500 from Bishkek along a scenic and very good road and took just under 4 hours with the driver dropping me at the door (after phoning the guesthouse for directions). Not easy to find so screen shot a map before you leave. It is the second last right before heading out of town (or first right off the Main Street after the Cafe Green Pub on the other side of the road). The Market Place is on the corner you need to turn right at. Go down the hill, and take the second right (if you keep going straight you end up at the lake). The guesthouse is maybe 100 metres along on the right hand sign with a small Kalinka sign opposite. See uploaded photos for what your looking for. To Bosteri catch the 304 signed mini bus for 10 KGS. Paid KGS 100 for taxi from Main St to bus station and 500 for share taxi back to Bishkek
