Nairobi Airport Stop Over House

When the shuttle from Arusha dropped me at a stop 4 km away, they sent a taxi to pick me up. I had no Kenyan currency with me and they accepted Tanzanian shillings. The property is close to the highway to the airport so it might be a bit noisy during the day; however, I had a good night of sleep. It is also close to a matatu stop going into city centre. All in all, it's an excellent choice for a stopover in Nairobi.

The Nairobi Airport Stop Over House doesn't claim to be a five star hotel, but it's exactly what it claims to be: close to the airport, clean and well managed. It's basic, but is a great deal for the affordable rate ($20USD for private room with shared bathroom.)

I had a fantastic stay, felt safe and was well taken care of. The staff ensured my needs were met and went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable. There is a gas station with snacks and an ATM a block away, and a really great mall 10 minutes away with a huge grocery store and a manicure spot!

The only downside was a cold shower, but it was not a big deal. Also note the breakfast is basic, but what do you expect! 

The staff scheduled a taxi to the airport and even helped me mail some postcards. I would absolutely stay here again!

Very accommodating staff makes this place a home away from home.

close to the airport, he does what it says on the tin : Airport stop over ! 
TV in the room wasn't working, shower african style.... water or not, that is the question.
still recommend it if you are on transit or waiting for the bus to tanzania ! 5 mins walk to the bus stop

I don't recommend here.

Some shower and toilet doesn't work, no hot, no water. it's very useless. There are no mosquiet net in the dormitory. And women staff are not friendly. When I arrived here, I asked the price for dormitory. The long hair women staff at reception said it cost 1,500Ksh per night. but I know already the price is 1,200Ksh on the website. She is liar. If I paid 1,500Ksh, she had to take 300Ksh in her pocket.

No recommend here

Stayed in a 4 person room upstairs. Me and my roommate caught bed bugs from this place. Dealing with the consequences at home now. Had extra bathrooms outside the room which were nice, but the one in the room either had scalding hot or freezing water, no inbetween.
