APA Hotel Asakusa Tawaramachi Ekimae

We stayed 10 nights in Tokyo in this hotel. The check-in was not as speedy as one would expect, but we got it done. Our room was on the 11th floor facing the street. Despite of this, the room was extremely quiet! For 4 people we had booked 2 twin rooms. Each room had 2 separate beds which was great. The room itself was on the smaller side, but it did not bother us as we were there only for the sleep. The beds were very comfortable and soft, linen as well. The cleaning is every 3 days but you can ask the cleaning to be done between the scheduled dates as well. Fresh towels and yukatas are brought every day, which was a bit too much :) We had booked the room with breakfast, which was served downstairs in the Komeda's Coffee. There is a set menu for 3 options for food and plenty of options for the drinks. The price was 900 yen per day, and I think it was reasonable for the breakfast. You get a good start for the day with toast and a cup of coffee! The absolute jewel in this hotel is the spa on the 14th floor. I went there every single night after walking 20k steps. The spaces are separated for women and men, women's side had one indoor pool and one outdoor pool, both with very very warm water. Shampoo, conditioner and body soap are provided by the spa, also amenities such as shower caps, brushes, cotton pads and some cleaning lotion / bodylotion as well. The spa has quite a strict policy with tattoos; if you can cover your tattoos with the stickers they give you, then it is ok. The hotel location is ideal with Tawaramachi station within a very short walking distance. With the Ginza line you get practically everywhere; Ueno is 2 stops (5 minutes) away and Shibuya 17 stops (~30 min) away. Asakusa is your neighbourhood when staying in this hotel with plenty of options for eating, drinking, shopping and sightseeing!
