No thrills hotel around a 10 minute walk from Shinjuku Station. The reception staff were very friendly and took my bag in a few hours before check in and let me leave it there for the better most of the day after i checked out. Room wasn't the biggest but was ok for myself (hotel rooms are generally small in Japan anyway) but the bed was bigger than i expected for a single room. No problems with the dust or dirt other reviewers have mentioned. Hotel is out of the way of the main road so had no issues with noise from the surrounding area. Would happily stay again!

This was one of my favourite hotels during my time in Japan.

The location really is excellent - it's in central Shinjuku just minutes from the main station, but you aren't surrounded by any noisy bars. There's also a traditional Japanese graveyard on one side of the hotel - so cool! - but unfortunately my room did not overlook this.

The breakfast is brilliant and very filling.

The rooms are warm and welcoming, and I slept very well in them. They are also a really good size considering that Japan is renowned for tiny hotel rooms.

Will definitely come back!

The place was clean albeit small. But if you are just staying there to sleep then there wouldn't be any problem. Our room was a Superior Twin room located on the 8th floor. We had a hard time placing all our luggage on the floor since the place was cramped and small but we managed by putting both beds together to create more space for our bags. The hotel is located near numerous restaurants and convenience stores. It is also near the Shinjuku station. Coming back to the hotel, take the Oedo line (Shinjuku-Nishiguchi) or the Marunochi line (Nishi-Shinjuku). The location of the hotel is quiet but it is still near the busy nightlife of shinjuku and the piss alley.

Staff were friendly and accommodating.

Nice and well equipped hotel, very close to Shinjuku Station and close to lots of small local eateries, department stores, interesting shops, cinemas and other interesting attractions. Airport Limousine stops is in front of Shinjuku Station West entrance and barely 10 minutes walk away. Highly recommended.

We have stayed here for 7 nights and it is in a perfect location. Very quiet but only 5 minutes to Shinjuku station. Lots of awesome eating options close and only a 2 minute walk to great shopping. We stayed in a deluxe twin and I would definitely  recommend paying a little extra as room was a great size for a stay of this length. Very clean and very friendly helpful staff. WIFI was super fast. Beds a little hard but ok, but defiantly need more pillows as I did ask and was told sorry no spare. You have to rent iron and ironing board as well. Overall an awesome choice and would recommend.

The Nishi Shinjuku Mystays Hotel is not in a particularly touristy area, however it is within walking distance to many sights around that location such as the Golden Gai, Shinjukus entertainment streets, temples and gardens, the train terminal with its department stores is also only a short walk from the Hotel.
I have stayed here for the last three tours I have run and find the staff very helpfull, the rooms are a little small but comfortable and clean, they have a restaurant on site which serves good meals, there is a Lawsons and a Seven Eleven nearby so you can easily get cash out and snacks, there are some interesting small cafes and bars close by for those prepared to find them.
The Nishi Shinjuku Hotel is a quiet, comfortable Hotel in a handy location, I would definitely reccomend it.

The big issue here is the lack of parkikng, if you take a vehicle you will have to park a fair way from the hotel, which is a bit of a hassle.
DO NOT PARK AT THE PAY FOR PARKING BAY LOCATED OUTSIDE THE HOTEL, THE COST WILL BE MORE THAN THE COST OF YOUR STAY, I Know because i was caught out by them!

We stayed here for 4 nights on our first trip to Tokyo. The hotel is in a great location, perfect for exploring Shinjuku & Kabukicho. So many food choices nearby! It’s easy walking distance to Shinjuku Station, although there are a few flights of stairs on the way - a bit of a struggle with a heavier bag. 
The room was clean and tidy, quite small (as expected) and the bed was comfy. It was also really quiet. 
We had breakfast included and the restaurant staff were super friendly, the food was quick and quite filling - both Japanese & Western Style breakfast available. 
Would definitely stay here again. 

Good clean hotel, good value. Our deluxe twin room was a good size with good aircon. Friendly staff. Luggage storage no problem. 
Great location 5 mins walk from JR Shinjuku, directly accessible from Narita Airport on Narita Express.
15min walk to Tokyo Metropolitan Govt Building with its free decks looking out over the Tokyo skyline. 5 min walk to Kabukicho and the ‘eat street’ laneways of Omoide Yokocho. 
Plenty of cafes close by but hotel itself very quiet.

Nice hotel with an easy walk from the station.  the room was quite adequate with good facilities.  There are lots of nice restaurants nearby and this is a good place to stay if you want to explore Tokyo.  The staff were pleasant and helpful

This hotel is also 1 of my list to stay in Tokyo.
The staffs are very kind. Hotel located nearby subway station, but far from the JR station. All facilities located nearby JR station, so it's a bit inconvenience. But I like the hotel service as we have a baby, the staffs take care us very well. The room is small, but clean. This is also the another one hotel that I recommended.

Great hotel, amazing location!

Fantastic hotel, even better location!

Great little Hotel in a quite convinient location for those who like to explore.

Fab location, clean hotel & friendly staff

Good clean hotel, excellent location

We were a big group , first  impression is bad as one has to tug your bags along as the bus is parked 50 mts away and entry via the lift is dingy.
The rooms as expected small , can't keep your suitcase open but all essentials are there in the room and single beds are wide n comfortable..no views one window which is little high have to be on your toes to view a bit out.
Next breakfast area is small with a set menu with little choice and was surprised to see staff from Nepal.
The point is the location...Shinjuku area, 100/200 metres down is the big square and the metro junction...one has to be outdoors to njoi Tokyo.
The reception and the staff are efficient and kind...there is a long high stairway leading from the ground floor to second floor to the hotel reception.
Lot of restaurants around but do not sell pork.
Avoid mystays chain of hotels if possible.


Ok for the location

During our stay in Tokyo we had to extend our stay for a night so had to stay in this hotel. 
The hotel is located in prime location of Nishi Shinjuku and just 10 mins walk from station. Upon arrival they offered 2 packets of Japanese coffee as welcome gift.
Rooms are very small. After keeping our luggage hardly any space were left to move. Bathroom was o.k and they provided toiletries and tea/coffee sachets. 
We booked room with breakfast where they served fixed meal but that was sufficient.

One night stay in March 2019

I went to stay with hubby with my elderly 80 yrs old mum in law and semi paralysed sis in law. I never expect the toilet set up is so poor. It is not level. There is a big gap for guests to climb into toilet. All the rooms are euipped with same toilet layout.the room is very small and no place to keep my clothes and luggage. I can only hang my cold wear on the hook provided.. Leave all luggages on the couch. Barely any space to move. But i must agree they have free breakfast and the restaurant breakfast sets are yummy.staff are also polite and helpful. But if i ever come back to tokyo i will not stay here again.

Dangerous toilet layout

Had previous good experience with Mystays hotels but sadly let down at Nishi Shinjuku. Room was tiny, hardly space for a suitcase. Breakfast seems to be outsourced to downstairs restaurant and was not up to standard of other Mystays accommodation - we skipped breakfast there after first day and found one of the many patisseries in Shinjuku.

If you have suitcases, make sure you find the elevator on the opposite side of the stairs to reception - we didn't find it obvious.

That said, the staff were very good at the front desk and also cleaning the rooms. The hotel itself was quiet and well located with a short walking distance to Shinjuku Station. Probably fine for one person and a backpack, but just not for us.
