Little did I know that event though Shinjuku is one of the busiest, crowdiest, and liveliest ward in Tokyo it has an area of serenity and neighborhood vibe. That is Business Hotel Sagami. My stay there is like living in a Japanese neighborhood with Shinjuku and its liveliest restaurants, shops, bars and malls around the corner. Oji-san who fronts the hotel is very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is 5 to 10 mins walk from Shinjuku South or South-east gates and on the main road in San-chome. It is perfect for budget especially if you are away most of the day. Shopping, Izakaya bars, malls, cafes and restaurants are around the corner. I have a Japanese culture vibe staying there. Now I know where to stay again when I'm back in Tokyo.
