We had a wonderful stay! The bathroom is really small, but it worked and that’s all that matters. Great location, right across the street from a Lawson’s and only a 7-8 minute walk from two train stations. Very quiet and safe!

Had a great stay here for our 3 week trip! Got the superior deluxe rooms which are pretty spacious, the staff are lovely and the hotel is nice. Location is perfect - close to Okubo station and the yamanote line Shin-Okubo station.Carpet in my room did have some stains on, but the soles of my slippers didn't get dirty as I walked round it so it is clean. The only thing I noticed was that there was dust gathering in the aircon vents.These were minor though and I would really recommend staying here.

For what I wanted, a clean room and clean bed (I’m 6’2 and the bed was long enough), it was perfect. Great location, less than 10 mins walk from two train stations, Lawson and 7-11 just across the road, friendly staff with enough English that we got by and a decent (if limited) complimentary breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff was very kind and helpful, and the room was clean. There were some stains on the carpet and the shower curtain that probably couldn’t be removed, but overall the room was tidy and well-maintained. The breakfast was indeed quite basic.The location was excellent — we could reach almost everything on foot except for Tokyo Tower and the Imperial Palace (which is clear from the map anyway). There were shops less than a minute away. It was perfect for spending a few nights here. The room was well-equipped, and cleaning service was provided.Overall, it’s a great value for the money.

I really enjoyed my stay here with my friends. We stayed 7 nights, checking out on the 8th night.Pros: Housekeeping servicing the rooms daily, continental breakfast, great value for price you pay, quiet room and nice city view. I honestly can’t say anything bad about this hotel because with this kind of price it includes free breakfast and this convenience of it being next to a train station is really nice. Even for a long night stay like mine, it was very appealing and a comfortable stay. Cons: I stayed on the 7th floor and the wifi connection was very bad. I’m assuming it’s because of the floor level as my friend who was on the third floor had no issue. For the bad wifi though, I got a great view of the city so there’s that haha.

I enjoyed my stay overall. The laundry machine was a bit of a disappointment as it took way too long to do a small load of t shirts and shorts. The view from my window overlooked the park in the courtyard and I loved listening to the water flow. There were some dust bunnies that came out from under the bed but other then that the room was clean. There were a few ambulances a day but the hotel is next to a hospital so not holding that against them. I would have liked a seat in the room besides the flimsy stool that was provided and was disappointed that the bed was not attached to the headboard since when I sat up in bed the mattress would move away from the wall. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I did not try the breakfast so I can’t give an opinion on that. The walk to the train station to/from the hotel was very easy and quick.

Perfect stay! Everything was super neat and tidy. Cant really complain at all. Sing at the spa said tattoos where not allowed byt I checked with the staff and it was super cool. I have full legs, arms and back. Also saw other people with ink. Being a place in the most central parts of Shinjuku and an attractive capsule stay with lots of people it was so calm and quiet. People minding their own business. Sleeping area was still and quiet as well. Slept like a god.Lockers for shoes at the entrance, lockers for valubles on ground floor and also for bih suitcases one floor up. Super safe.

Best capsule in Tokyo?

We had a twin room with two big beds and lots of space, which is rare for Tokyo. Breakfast limited to cereal and croissant, juice, tea and coffee but fine for us. Easy walk to two stations made getting around easy, and the hotel is in a nice quiet location. The staff were nice, and helped us send our luggage on to our next hotel. We enjoyed our stay and would happily revisit.

Shinjuku Sun Park Hotel is a nice hotel in a quiet location and about 8 to 10 minutes walk to eateries, shopping and Shin-Okubo station. I traveled solo and stayed in the Deluxe Twin Room which had enough room for my luggage. Bathroom was clean and on the smaller size which is normal in Japan and the toilet is separate which is good traveling with more people.Overall I had a good stay and recommend it for people who like the quiet but not too far from the busy streets in Shinjuku.

Stayed 1 night before heading to the airport. The room was quite spacious but the bathroom was probably the smallest of all hotels during my stay in Japan. The bed comfortable and the bedding was clean. The location was away from the hustle and bustle and very safe. Breakfast was very basic; croissants, 3 types of cereal, and a variety of juices.

A decent stay.

This is a great hotel as it was clean, the rooms were a decent size, and came with quite a few toiletries which was helpful. Being directly opposite a Lawson was also quite helpful, and was only about 10 minutes from a train station, so getting around was very easy. Staff were also very polite, and check in/out was very straightforward.
