Hotel Indigo Tokyo Shibuya by IHG 

My son and I stayed at this hotel for 8 days while visiting Tokyo. We had a wonderful experience and I highly recommend this hotel. The location was perfect for us - a few minutes from the Shibuya train station, which allowed us to easily access all parts of Tokyo. You have access to many types of restaurants close to the hotel itself, from a delicious bakery downstairs, to conveyer belt sushi to high end meals. The room itself was immaculate and the cleaning staff were impeccable. We have great view of Shibuya but felt completely removed from the busy-ness of the street. The hotel has a deck and a workout room and a very good restaurant. The workout room is fairly minimal, but has everything we needed for a week - dumbbells, a bench, cardio equipment, an exercise ball, etc. We were on the 15th floor and has zero issues with noise, and I'm quite sensitive to noise. The details of the room were wonderful - high end shower and other amenities. The room lighting options were a highlight- very high end. We obviously could have found a cheaper hotel, but for what we got, this felt like a good value. For us, it was a perfect balance between having immediate access to a busy and stimulating part of tokyo while having easy access to retreat to an oasis of beauty and calm. Every single staff member we interacted with was gracious and accommodating. Because it's tokyo, the room was smaller than hotels in the west, but we found that the atmosphere and high end amenities more than made up for that.
