Arrived on rainy day - an owner came out with umbrella for us. They invited us for “seasonal division”, Setsubun festival dinner with eho-maki (“lucky direction roll”) sushi and other delicacies and cerebrated it together just like family. They printed out a detailed direction when we asked them how to get our next destination. Very courteous, helpful and friendly nice couple. Tucked in a residential quiet area, few minutes walk from JR, subway and city bus stations. Closed to a large super market and coffee shops. A short distance to many attractions - Ryoanji, Kinkakuji, Sagano, Arashiyama, Movie village etc. Will go back there for sure.
