Mary was as charming as the accommodations. The appointments are immaculate, right down to the pressed lace tablecloths and China. When we were heading out in the afternoon, she was personally pressing the lace tablecloths. Mary goes to great efforts to make sure that each guest is happy with their stay. In my opinion, I never felt judged and for those that do, I think that it is more of a personal reflection, not Mary’s intention. She treated each guest the same with kindness and consideration. It is obvious that she takes great pride in her home and service, as well as her family members. Mary enquired about our plans and was instrumental in helping us develop a constructive plan for the day and easier/faster routes for the following day. I believe, Mary and her family are familiar with the area which provides insight that we could not obtain from the internet. We stayed upstairs in the White room with an en-suite. There was a generous closet and dressing table with teas. We were at the front of the house and did not experience any road noise. The lodge is very close to town but we chose to drive, easily accessible to everything. The breakfast is excellent. They will cook fresh eggs each morning but fresh fruit, yogurt, various cereals, cheeses, and jams are readily available. We would stay here again. It is lovely and the people are engaging. Thank you
