This Inn is  tucked away from noise and lights while maintaining a lovely country feel.
The hosts Carmel and Paul are fabulous. Carmel so social and interested in you and what your doing. You can tell how much they enjoy guests. Bar downstairs was used at night by our friends and my husband. They enjoyed themselves. Our room was great. Very cozy and comfortable bed and bedding.

We had the most wonderful stay in this B&B. Our room was perfect and Carmel could not have been more accomodating. She really made us feel at home! Fantastic price, beautiful location and wonderful hosts! Thanks Carmel, we will back!

Lovely old world  guest house  and pub

This is our second trip to the Buckfield Inn.  Just as excellent as the first.  Carmel and Paul are outstanding hosts.  I can't say enough about them.  So accommodating and sincere in their efforts to make you feel like family and right at home.  Room was very nice, breakfast excellent, and the advice they gave on the surrounding area was right on.  Great place to stay and visit Croagh Patrick ( beautiful view looking at Croagh Patrick from their front door), the Connomara, Cong, Ashford Castle, and many other places.  They have their own little pub that is really nice and we have met many locals  there and have enjoyed talking with them.  Really like the fact that the Inn is about 8 minutes from Westport and you really feel like you are in the country, but close to everything.  We won't hesitate to visit Carmel and Paul again.

If you are on the Greenway near Westport take a 1 km diversion to have a pint and a sandwich in the Buckfield Inn. It is undoubtedly one of the most delightful, welcoming pubs we have found - in a country renowned for its pubs. Carmel the owner and the barman were hospitable, friendly and informative. We were only sorry that we weren't staying over. We'll be back.

One of the most welcoming, friendly and comfortable b & b’s we have stayed in. Nothing is too much trouble, and you feel like family. Excellent food and if you want a good Guinness there’s a bar downstairs. Carmel is an absolute treasure and cooks a great breakfast. Would recommend to anyone going to Westport area.

Great little inn. Family owned interested in guests. Rooms immaculate diningroom has kept its old fashioned feel oak press and table. Parking. No lift but my case was carried up but could have left in car as it has a country safe feel. I walked the leafy road and onto the Greenway into beautiful Westport in approx 1.30hrs. Returned by taxi to finish off with a glass of Guiness. Country feel.

We booked this B&B based on the pictures on booking.com and tripadvisor. Unfortunately our room did not look like the room as advertised at all. Small bed/room and only a roof window.
The B&B is located at a 10 min drive from Westport. This sounds easier than it is. A local person warned us to drive carefully and drive much slower than max speed because of the curves and small lanes. We intended to go out in the evening but the thought of driving this road, without any street lights, in the dark made us decide to go and look for another place to stay. We found something with a much better quality/price ratio in Westport.
