Excellent 10/10 hotel receptionist was outstanding very helpful and went above and beyond will be back 100 percent .

It was a beautiful hotel to stay in, spotless clean, beds soo comfortable.  Definitely be back to stay in . 😍

It is always lovely to stay at Imperial, the Staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and do what they can for guests.

Lovely stay here. Last time I was here was 54 years ago and it has been updated and really comfortable.  Staff very friendly and helpful. Ideally situated for the town centre.

Nice simple  hotel,  in a central location,. Our room was clean. We had dinner with  decent food served in the bar.  Breakfast  was agood quality and the usual expected spread. 
Residents bar was not open for us, bur drinks were brought to our rooms.

Pros: unrivalled location, spacious room, lovely bed linen, coffee maker, kettle, iron & ironing board, hairdryer, friendly staff

Cons: bath towels quite small, extractor in bathroom inadequate, weak shower, not enough clothes hangers, no way of controlling heat temperature in room, no USB ports, tv reception terrible

I am very familiar with Dundalk and have stayed many times at the Imperial.  Location for me, for the purpose of my visits, has been more important than the cost, otherwise I would chose the Fairways whose prices are much better.

The central location of the Imperial could be an issue for visitors who are not aware that they will be in the centre of a vibrant town with a noisy nightlife.

On this occasion, I had no running water in my room. This was known by staff who failed to advise me on arrival that a leak was being attended to. When the water did come back about 15 minutes later, it was dark brown which I had to flush through.  I am surprised that no gesture of apology was proffered.

Great location. Some facilities could be better!

My fellow conspirator and I were up from Drogheda for the Election Count in nearby Coláiste Chu Chulainn, staying over on the Saturday night 30th Nov. 2024. We checked in at 6pm., and then had your wonderful Fish and Chips at 7pm., before returning to the Count Centre. 

We returned by midnight. Being Gentlemen of  certain age, we were very pleased to have humorous verbal exchanges with some ''talkative'' younger women about the possibilities of discarding our '€'upright support and forward propellant manual devices'' (walking sticks) and dancing with them in the midnight hour. Whilst we were thinking of a Political Party, they were more interested in their Hen Party. Wisely, we concentrated on the cool and dark pints of Porter whilst observing from a distance. 

We hit the bed by 1.30am., alarms set for 7.30am. on Sunday. We had  decent breakfast, checked out and returned to the Count Centre. 

We returned to IH at 7pm. for a further booster feed of your Fish and Chips. We were all set then until midnight, at which time we returned to Drogheda.

We paid €138 each for Dinner, Bed and Breakfast, and €50 on Sunday evening for Dinner for two with Drinks. We thought we got very good value. And sure, at our age, the entertainment we had in our exchanges with the Hens was ''priceless''.

Second visit to this amazing hotel and already planning another!!
All  staff are extremely helpful and pleasant.  The facilities are top class 
We dined in the hotel and there was a wide selection of food available both reasonably priced and tasty!
Had a cheeky cocktail or two which were both reasonably priced and very tasty!
Finally the breakfast is top class with good quality ingredients - fresh fruit, variety of breakfast juice, croissants, wheaten, toast and danish pastries

Five Star Accommodation right in the centre of Dundalk

This was our second time staying at the Imperial Hotel in a matter of months. The hotel staff are amazing. Rosie at reception is such a pleasure to deal with. She is super friendly,  polite, and accommodating. A real ray of sunshine.
The hotel itself is modern and very clean. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable.
On our most recent stay, my Aunt and I tried the tapas. 9 small plates between us for just €30. What a treat. The bar is cosy and has a real inviting atmosphere.
Finally, breakfast is also something to look forward to. Great choice and good portions.
This hotel, and what it has to offer, is great value for money. We are already planning our next trip.

Fabulous 

I recently stayed for two nights, and everything was good. The room was spacious, with a comfortable bed that ensured a restful sleep. If you prefer a quieter experience, I recommend requesting a room away from the street, as it can get a bit lively at night. The breakfast was good, offering a variety of both savory and sweet options to suit every palate. Parking was convenient, just a short walk from the hotel, making it easy to explore the area. Overall, it was a wonderful stay in a lovely setting.

Good experience

As per previous visits - an excellent stay.  All staff very welcoming and courteous.  This year though it was a bit of a hit or a miss with breakfast but this was resolved by Paul who is always so attentive.  This hotel is ideally situated in the centre of town to sample all the great bars/restaurants that Dundalk has to offer.

We had a lovely stay in the Imperial hotel recently, the service was beyond expectations. We had a lovely room on the 5th floor overlooking the town and had very large comfortable bed & water, tea, coffee and fresh towels daily, cleaned daily. The staff in reception are lovely and very helpful. I had just had healed from a surgery and we were looking for a nice break to relax and it was perfect. Definitely recommend and will stay again.

We had a very good stay, hotel is central with free parking which was a good bonus. We had lunch, dinner and breakfast, every meal was beautiful a credit to the chefs. Service was hit and miss but that’s to be expected with shortages across the industry. The staff at reception were very nice and recommend local places to explore. We stayed Friday and Saturday night, you could hear noise at night from local pubs/clubs but nothing the hotel can do about that (not enough to keep you up at night) luckily we had a room on the top floor.  The room was spacious with a generous bathroom, the floor wasn’t hoovered when we arrived or the next day when housekeeping freshened up the room which was slightly disappointing but again not a major issue. I did mention this to reception upon checkout as you would expect the room to be spotless upon arrival. We got a good deal with 2 course meal included each day, overall a good hotel with nice staff and GREAT food. Would recommend as it gives good value for money, they are competitively priced so don’t expect 5 Star.

Arrived late as hit delays, easy car parking, friendly staff & nothing was a problem. 
Bar was really good & breakfast / checkout really well organised . 
Nice room, absolutely no noise ( a Monday night ). 
Def stop again
Sport was available to watch in the bar area which was pretty quiet but nice feel to it .
