Spent three wonderful days at this bed and breakfast. The rooms were lovely, the view is fantastic, and the host and hostess were amazing! Breakfast was delicious. Would recommend anyone in the area to take in the village of Ardmore as it’s quite lovely. I would go back and stay there in a heartbeat!

We're always given the warmest welcome from Janette and her family. She does everything in her power to make sure your stay is comfortable. The breakfast is scrumptious, all fresh produce with an amazing choice. Looking forward to my next visit to Duncrone.

Confession time; we had booked to stay at Newland Fram B&B, booking confirmed, receipt, the works. Then we had an email five days later to say there had been a problem with their booking software...... we only wanted to stay one night, so we were not convinced.  However, their loss was our significant gain. 
As others have written here, Jeanette is simply the perfect hostess. Although we were a late booking and just the one night, she could not do enough to make us feel at home.  Noticing I was using a crutch, she immediately offered to swap our room for one downstairs, which we declined as the views from the first floor over the Bay and Ardmore were worth the effort.  The room (en suite) was spotless, and very well provided for. The bed linen was high quality, and the bed was very comfortable even for me despite my being in considerable pain with Sciatica!
Others have written of the very high quality breakfast, which we can only echo.  Comprehensive choice of breakfast cereals, fruit, yoghuts etc....and then there were the cooked alternatives.  I went for the full Irish Breakfast, complete with newly laid eggs from Jeanette's hens, which was quite possibly the best cooked breakfast I've ever had.  My husband opted for the scrambled egg with home made smoked salmon scones, which I wish I could tell you what they were like, but they were so good, he didn't offer me the opportunity to try them! All this AND freshly squeezed orange juice and excellent coffee.  Jeanette is so welcoming and helpful. We followed her comprehensive recommendations for places to eat locally the previous evening, and were very happy with the Round Tower Hotel.
We would definitely come and stay again should we get the chance.

Jeanette, the host/owner at Duncrone B&B provided a warm welcome, a large, clean, well-equipped room with a view and delicious breakfasts.  The B&B is located in a quiet area above the town of Ardmore, practically next door to one of Ireland's best round towers - we could see it from our bedroom window and it was lit at night! Also ideally situated for a day trip to the Rock of Cashel, Waterford crystal factory, and the Midleton Distillery or an amble along the local Cliff Walk past St. Declan's Holy Well and Church. 
Our room - upstairs with a  great ocean & tower view, bright, cheery, clean, comfortable double bed + a single alongside, good linens, wood floors, good storage, en suite bathroom with modern fittings including a skylight. 
Breakfasts - Jeannette prides herself on her excellent breakfasts which include fresh made soda bread and salmon scones, cooked-to-order eggs + bacon plus other Irish breakfast standards, and amazing mushrooms. All served in a large, bright breakfast room.  
We were also able to use this room one evening to enjoy a dinner that we bought on our way home.  Note: In October when we were there, restaurants in town were closed during the week though you could easily drive to nearby Youghal or Dungarvan for dinner.
Recommended. I would stay here again if in the area.

Fantastic place to stay!

My husband and I stayed at Duncrone for one night. We were on the first floor and the room was booked as a sea view. If you open the window and look to the right you have a slight view of the sea, along with a boat and mid-construction shed in the backyard. Not exactly a sea view. If you are allergic to cats be aware there is one. It was on the couch in the common area when we arrived. I mentioned to Jeannette that I was allergic and I did not see the cat during the remainder of the stay. Room was very clean but linens smelled highly perfumed. Breakfast was very good.
