17 reviewsMy spouse and I stayed at The Retreat Hotel for five nights in a deluxe room priced at Rs. 2500 per night. The room is located on the third floor and is very spacious with a bed that can accommodate two. A separate smaller sized bed is also provided next to the main one. The deluxe room also includes a smart TV, a refrigerator, A/C, fan, and various other furniture support. Nice. The attached bath includes geyser and a big bucket that we used when bathing (drawing the water from the bucket, Tamil style). As a Tamilian, I liked the hotel stay. Support staff (Mr. Rajan, Mr. Aravind, and Mr. Ganesh) were courteous and readily helped with making our stay comfortable. The hotel is located at the Camp Road junction so any item one wishes to buy is just a stone's throw away. A2B is about less than a KM away. However, very close to the hotel is a Thalapakatti Biryani restaurant. There is sastha stores nearby, where, if you are a Tamil, you would relish buying all kinds of bakshsanam including "marundhu", the deepavali morning special. A fantastic place to stay, as far as I'm concerned.
