I stayed in this hotel in March 2023.  When I reached hotel and got worm welcome, fell well . Room was small but well managed and almost everything available and clean. Food was awesome and they served very decently. Hotel is not too far from main road. Most important things of hotel manager and  staff behavior are beautiful, which made happy me.

The place is very close to mall road and Chowrasta. Rooms is not big but sufficient for two. Arrangements and decorated well. Budget hotel but food is expensive and location around so smelly. Staff Behavior good specially Raju ji. Only one thing is bad hotel is closed in 10:00PM. All over ok. 

Hotel Dip Palace is a wonderful 3 star hotel, located in the heart of Darjeeling, at a two minute walking distance from the Mall. Dip Palace offers a luxurious stay at an affordable rate. 

The rooms are well lit and spacious. They offer a breathtaking view of the snow clad peaks. WiFi, restaurant, and various other facilities are offered by Dip Palace. They have an in house chef who gives an authentic touch to each dish. I'm in love with this place for the beautiful rooms, the amazing view of the snow clad peaks, the super efficient service and the great food. I'm definitely going to visit Dip Palace whenever I visit Darjeeling.

I stayed in this hotel in  may. I scared before some bad reviews but when I reached hotel and got worm welcome, fell well . Room was small but well managed and almost everything available . Food was awesome and they served very decently. Hotel is not too far from main road. Most important things of hotel is staff behaviour which made  happy me . One suggestion lighting in hotel room  must be improve.

Good property with well maintained rooms. Courtesy and well mannered staff with easy check-in and check-out.
Only two things needs to be worked on to make it perfect.
1) Add an elevator which is missing as it would be a problem for elderly people booking the hotel.
2) Need to work on the beautification of the lane which leads to the main entrance lobby of the hotel.

I visited this hotel with my family from 27th Sep-29th Sep. I booked this hotel because of its location. Hotel is quite close to Mall Road. But it is not easier to find the hotel. However, the manager itself came to pick us from the main road because hotel was quite inside from the main road, which I really appreciate.
Rooms were small but clean and well maintained. Food was good. Staff was good.
Make sure you will buy enough water bottles as hotel don't provide it complimentary which is quite basic in every other hotel.

Pros: 

Fancy interior

Near mall road

Cons:

1) Rooms are Tooo small, low light and very suffocating.

2) Bathroom is also very small not suitable for families

3) The " VIEW", I had this magnificent view from my hotel room ( photos attached). Sorry to say its Pathetic.  Forget family, its not good for individual.

4) Long menu But NO CHOICE TO EAT. They have full menu, but when asked for dinner last night, they give me options to choose from: Dal, Matar paneer, Roti.( Full stop). How could one choose from this. They say the chef is on leave.

5) one man army, only there's 1 man in guards uniform which also serve for room service of all types. 

6) Non Coperative staff. The reception doesn't think twice before saying NO.

Eg. Sir glass chahiye extra..,No, Evening me kuch snacks h..No, Better room h..No, What is HOT butter milk... they don't No. Etc.etc. They even ask the purpose of extra glass and after bringing, he counted the no. of glasses as we would take it along?

7) Location of hotel is also very bad, one have to pass through dirty narrow lanes( like in chandni chowk) to get to the hotel and still you have to look out for hotel.

All in all, very Dis-appointing Experience.
