We had 3 days of booking in Zostel Vashisht and 1 day of booking at Iris.
And Iris Vashisht was way better experience for us as compare to 3 days in Zostel.
Zostel Vashisht was newly open like 4 days ago and was very crowded, on the other hand Iris was very much suitable for us in terms of worcation, very peaceful, little away from the Vashisht temple crowd.
Secondly the food and cafe was best in iris, there was a variety of food and perfectly cooked. Even when we stayed in Zostel, we went to Iris for the dinners.
Jaipal the owner was very nice, helpful and welcoming. Even though there is no car parking for Zostel Vashisht, Jaipal let us park our car in his property Iris for 3 days without any charges. Such a great host.

I didn't like Vashisht as a place because of the temple there is lot of crowd which hides the ethinicity and culture of the village. I would prefer to stay in Naggar instead of Vashisht. But if i go again to Vashisht. Only and only Iris is the place to stay,

The Hosts were really amazing.

The rooms are very clean and the cafe is well suited for people working from mountains!

Fantastic Stay option away from the Hussle of the main City! Excellent view of the Valley and the snow-capped peaks from the rooms. The property is extremely tidy and well maintained to get the basic boxes ticked. We had booked Penthouse and was well equipped with all the required things! Location is really good if you love to stay away from the crowd, and just 2 km from mall road. Excellent food and room service. My all three kids enjoyed we got enough snow at apple orchid itself in the hotel premises. The penthouse is with a well-equipped kitchen and dining table and chairs, which was quite useful late at night. 
Sachin and Jaypal are two amazing adventurous people who run this place and they'll go an extra mile to make you feel comfortable. Also, they suggest the best things to do in Manali.
The scenic beauty of the hotel room was also mesmerising. The hospitality and courtesy of the hotel staffs were matchless. Taste of food and variety was really praiseworthy. Our third kid Leo “The Maltese” was also very comfortable especially with the food, specially cooked for him as and when required.

Great food and greater views. Its like at a sweet spot where you get peace and quiet with great views but still very accessible from mall road etc. Everyday I would look out from my balcony and be surprised at the stunning views.

This place came to us as a surprise - beautifully located, amazing food and breathtaking views. It’s located in between Apple orchards. Sachin and Jaypal have been great hosts and they even got us a camping experience booked near hamta - looking forward to it. The rooms are very clean and the cafe is well suited for people working from mountains! Mall Road is just 2 kms and some good cafes are also at a walking distance. There’s a small trail which offers great views and also a good space if you’re into yoga. All in all, a great experience

Stayed here while our visit few months back. We had good time. Their location is worth every penny you spend. Raj looked after us well and helped us with our check-in in the middle of night. Perfect family place.

One of the best cottage i have ever been in too,with all the facilities over here ,outside himalayan mountains view is amazing from the hotel,caring and a very helpful staff ,amazing food to have 😘😘

We stayed with Sachin on and off for a week. He has a great set-up; it's close to everything but tucked away above an orchard. Our room was spacious and very clean, as was the ensuite bathroom, all with windows overlooking the Himalayas. The staff are really impressive, going out of their way to be helpful, cooking us great food at all times of the day and night. Sachin himself is a biker and knows the Himalayan areas well. This meant he was able to hire a motorbike for us at a good price (and more to the point one that had no 'issues') and advise us on the best routes. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Iris Cottage, for all the right reasons.

Wonderful experience
Stayed here with my friend for about a week. 
Amazing staff, their wooden cottage is a heritage property, beautifully maintained. Will be coming again here. Their dining is newly built and good furniture and food. It opens to big orchard. Pave the o premise feels like going away from crowd city. Best luck.

Me and my friend visited and stayed at this place from 24th june to 1st july and we were supposed to stay here only for a day, LoL. It is amazing, we used to watch cricket everyday and have our meals and snacks in the cafe. Their staff is really polite ans sunny looked after us well. Their stay is amazing with views of Old Manali and mountains on the front. Feels like away from crowd. I will be coming again very soon.

Amazingly stay

We were 5 friends stayed here for 4 days and had awesome time.  For 2 nights we stayed in heritage cottage and remaining we stayed in their newly built rooms. Vishisht hot spring are at walking distance and we went there almost everyday and Jaypal also guided us for Jogni waterfall hike and local attractions and some cafes.  They are running this place as homestay but providing so many amenities and have good staff.

Having fun watching India🇮🇳 vs England🇬🇧 world Cup match,  was memorable. I am writing this review sitting and enjoying here in the Cafe watching live on projector.
