Deepak Rest House

We got to stay in one of the outermost round rooms of the fort. Natural airflow made the room beautiful for sleeping. It was incredible to be staying in such an ancient building with in the walled city. 
The service was outstanding and Deepak did all he could to make the stay comfortable and memorable.

When I arrived, I looked around as usual and was amazed to see the latest renovations. Half the rooms now have A/C, the redecoration is stunning. They were busy but I could see most rooms, (I'm nosey having spent my career in hotels) the rooftop terrace and the alterations. I love it!!
When I started staying here in 2011, it was a very basic place with great staff and great food. It now ranks as a true boutique guest house. The owner, Deepak, still insists it's a 'Traditional Rest House' (and it is). Retaining its wonderful old character, but now with beautifully appointed & decorated rooms.  Love the planting too.

Best of all for me....the staff are all still there and Bishu's food? Still to die for. And of course that view.

It remains my all-time favourite little hotel in the world.......well, of the 40-odd countries I've visited.

I visited here with Intrepid Tours, the staff are very accommodating, kind and attentive. The rooms are very clean and large with a traditional feel that reflects the historic buildings within the fort. While the steep steps to your room might challenge some, my family found it easy. A small fee of 700rp ($10 AUD) in addition will secure you a room with much needed AC. There is no TV but it wasn’t needed as the wifi speed is fast and reliable. Overall, highly recommended.

Very nice place here in Jaisalmer Fort, we stayed here through Intrepid Tours. Rooms we're great with fans and air con, showers we're good too. Nice quiet spot. The staff we're helpful and friendly. Awesome rooftop terrace too. Highly recommend if your staying in Jaisalmer.

Lovely place and extremely friendly staff. It's a great location and the food is nice as well. The views over the local area on the roof of the hotel are amazing (great place for a beer!). The beds were really comfy and the bathrooms were really nice

The best deck in Jaisalmer Fort!  The staff were really helpful and the food was fantastic.  The evening meal with us dressed in Rajasthani clothing was a real highlight of the incredible Intrepid tour.  The rooms were warmer than others we have had to date.  

I loved this hotel. It has friendly staff, good food and great views of the city. The rooms were comfortable and authentic. Why wouldn’t you stay in this stunning fort? Our trip was organised through Intrepid- and included a desert night stay

Lovely stay. Really beautiful place & great staff - going above and beyond, working very hard to make our stay pleasant. Food was amazing, lots of options including both Western & Indian food. Views from the rooftop were stunzer. 

The family that works here are very lovely and accomodating! Food was delicious and prepared in a sanitary manner. As an Australian girls travelling with my friends, I would recommend staying at Deepak to anyone!

The staff was really lovely and the food was really good! You have an amazing view from the rooftop where you can go whenever you like. 
It feels really special to stay there as it is not your usual kind of hotel. 
Would definitely recommend!

Still my all-time favourite little hotel in the World!

Deepak Rest Hotel is a little gem.

I had a great time; right within the walls over the Jain temple.  Loved the location.  The staff were very friendly.  And the room had  amazing views. and almost camp decor.  Ok - not your 4 star luxury BUT what a way to explore this wonderful own.    A really enjoyable rood top with small restaurant (great breakfasts) with a breath-takig view.   A find!

My favorite thing about Deepak Rest House is that it is a family-owned business which means that if you choose to stay with them you are supporting the local community. I stayed here during my India tour with Intrepid and could not recommend them more! They are situated in the most breathtaking desert fort and the views are to die for. But if the location doesn't do it for you, the family and the staff they hire are so accommodating, always asking me if I needed anything and jumping at any opportunity to improve my stay. The owners wife even dressed us girls up in a saree so we could see what they felt like to wear. Don't even get me started on their restaurant food on the rooftop! So delicious and it felt amazing knowing I didn't have to go far to get a good meal - the orange juice is freshly squeezed and the best thing I've ever had!! I will be staying here again if I ever come back to Jaisalmer.

Don't stay anywhere else in Jaisalmer!

Staff all friendly and very helpful and provided a family atmosphere. The food and beverages were delicious and it was a treat to eat and relax on the rooftop, with stunning views across the city
My room was comfortable and the shower was fabulous with plenty of hot water.
The location is central and convenient. 

 A  very pleasant stay at Deepak Hotel, Jaisalmer. 

The hotel is good, because of its location. The atmosphere is very relaxed here. Everything is just perfect. Good food, great view of thar dessert, and higest place with curved sitting.  No other hotel have this curve shape sitting balcony in the fort. I stayed 3 night here with no worries at all.. and the best part it's inside the fort. If you came Jaisalmer must stay inside the fort for life time experience.. 

The best sunset view with ample of space at roof top.

I had the great pleasure to stay at the Deepak RH in Jaisamer. I recommend this establishment as a place to stay. The staff are extremely courteous and friendly and  the service is excellent. The rooms are bright and comfortable. The view from the  rooftop restaurant is spectacular. Our room formed part of the wall of the fort. I felt like a time traveller. The place has a magical quality. Do yourself a favour and stay at Deepak

Magical place, it is a privilege to be able to stay in a 15 th century ford with amazing views. 
Staff is very help-full and kind. 
Our room had the most amazing view. At night we could see the town lights and look at life below. Guesthouse is central to most of the main attractions
