Super comfortable, clean, and spacious. Only drawbacks were that the airport is very close meaning you hear and see large planes flying very low overhead. They don't fly late into the night or start very early though, so it didn't detract from our stay other than startling us the first time. We also had a couple issues with the keypad at the front entry, but we were still able to get in. Amazing location and very lovely stay overall though! And parking was very easy to find.

It was a nice quiet location but very walkable to the downtown shopping and restaurants.

It was nice to be able to spread out after too many nights in hotel rooms. The apartment is clean, comfortable, and well-equipped.  The location is perfect for centrally walking and enjoying Reykjavik.

We enjoyed 2 nights, made our own Breakfast, did 2 tours and walked to explore the town.

Quiet area in Reykjavik but in walking distance to the Rainbow Street area. 5 minutes from a grocery shop. The apartment had all the right amenities supplied in the kitchen - toaster  microwave, fridge etc that helped us make dinners rather than go out every night. Comfy bed and secure system to enter the property. Very quick communication from the owner. A pleasant stay.

Great communication and directions to the property. Apartment in excellent location and easily walkable to Reykjavik centre with its many shops, supermarkets and eateries. On street parking available nearby which is payable but plenty of spaces available. Accommodation was as described and had everything we needed, serving as a great base from which to explore Iceland.

Fantastic property- conveniently located near the Pond , central Reykjavík. Easily walkable to the BSI bus station and city. Apartment fully equipped and comfortable. Will return.

The apartment was great and very close to the city center and other attractions. We walked everywhere and the bus stop was only 2 blocks away. I would recommend this apartment and will stay there on my next trip to Reykjavik.

Excellent location, room comfortable and well equipped!

Perfect for what we needed. The automatic door lock had an issue when pressing 3 and was resolved with a phone call.

It was a good size apartment with a nice kitchen and a small bathroom.  Located in a very nice area, tons of parking space around the corner.  Very quiet at night, and right across from the lake.  The only thing that I didn’t like too much was the bathroom was really small, even hard for one person to turn around in the bathroom so I used the sink in the kitchen a lot.  The front door was heavy so you could hear other guests going in and out of the building with the loud sound from door closing, but people were quiet at night so we weren’t bother at night and had good nights of sleep.

Good location, nice apartment in the heart of Reykjavik

The location of Castle House Lux Apartments is ideal. It’s right next to Tjornin Lake and within easy walking to downtown, shopping areas, and pickup spots for tours. There is a large supermarket within a 5 min walk.The kitchen is small, but functional with a 2-burner stove and a small refrigerator, which was sufficient for our needs. We were able to cook all our dinner meals there.Our rooms were very clean. The 2 upstairs apartments with a balcony require climbing a set of stairs to the front door and another longer flight to get to the room. This could be an issue for those with mobility limitations. It was cool and wet most of the days we were there, so we didn’t make use of the balcony.The management staff replied very quickly to emails and messages. When our delayed luggage was to be delivered to the apartment, Castle House provided someone to meet the delivery person as we weren’t available for the delivery to our room. They also have a storage room to hold luggage for a few hours if needed pre/post our stay.

Excellent Location

This was a lovely place to stay. It was clean. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment. P3 parking just a block away. There's a little church in front of it and we always knew where we were staying when we could locate the church.The only problem we had was we couldn't access the television. The remote was broken and glued together. After 3 days they finally replaced it.In all a very pleasant stay in a central location. Would definitely stay here again.

The apartment was clean and had plenty of room for two people.  We found the location very good since we walked from the bus terminal and also walked around town a lot.  We were concerned about luggage storage, but it was available.  There is a phone for local calls and in case anything is needed from the property manager.

This place was great for my husband and I. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Location is excellent! There's 3 bus stops right around the corner along with restaurants and shopping. Short walk to the city center and grocery store. The pond across the street is lovely too. Lots of ducks and swans The only issue I had was with the keypad for the apartment. Every time I would type the code in it wouldn't work half the time and it even locked us out of the apartment and set off an alarm.But it reset itself after a couple of minutes. I was not able to get ahold of anyone with the number because I couldn't make a call on my cellphone. There are phones in the rooms but since I couldn't get into the room it didn’t do us any good. I would recommend key cards instead if a pin. Overall it was a great stay. I especially loved the heated floor and towel rack in the bathroom.

We had the best stay here! We couldn’t have asked for anything better! Super close to downtown, close to bus stop 1 and 2 for tour pickups and close to grocery stores! A kitchen was a life saver because it was quite expensive to eat out every night in Reykjavik! and the Kitchen had everything you could need to make a meal. Overall it was a clean, cozy and convenient stay!

Ultra practical option with everything you might need, except the shampoo and soap were like water. 9/10 overall for the price compared to what else is available. The place is cozy and spacious for 1 person. 2 people would comfortably fit and even stay for a longer duration due to the practicality of the property. The location is prime. 8 min drive to Grotta Lighthouse (northen lights viewing), and a vast majority of Reykjavik's top attractions within a 15 min walk.
