Balaton Apartmanház

Great place runned by a great family! We enjoyed our stay and had a great time here. The room was large and clean, we had free parking and Wi-fi. We had an apartment with a terrace. The area is beautifull, close to the lake but far enough so you don't hear the noise from the clubs and bars (important if you have a child). They have also a restaurant with great food at a good price. Very child friendly. 
We reccommend it and will surely  stay here again if we come to Siofok.

Great place!

Stayed here for 2 nights with some friends. Have to admit the place is a little odd, as the rooms are basically above a restaurant, and check in is on a table in the restaurant with the owner, who doesn't speak much English, but it was fine. The room itself was basic but OK, and the shower was powerful. Thankfully there was air conditioning as it gets very hot in August! In terms of location, it a short walk from the train station and also from the beach and main strip, whilst also beign far enough away that it's quiet at night. 

The main drawback was that the place seems to be completely shut up at night, so if you're coming back late from  a night out you have to scale a fence and find the door at the back of the building that is unlocked, sneak in and get up the stairs - makes it feel like you're in an action fil or computer game!

Basic but decent value!

I went there with my fiance for a romantic weekend and it was awful! The "check-in" happened just on some "table" in their restaurant, the man who was dealing with us was very strange looking guy,at first he wanted to show us around the guesthouse but we would have to leave all our bags there, so i told my fiance to go with him alone and i stay there with the bags and he suggested i HAVE to go as well, he was very pushy, i had very bad feeling from him, he told me nobody would steel anything, but how can you  trust a guy who you met just a minute ago?! Before we could go to our room he mentioned that the next day we have to move to other room again because there was some mistake with rooms, we already didnt like that! He took us to our room, which looked quite good at first, except it was twin not double what we booked and when we asked why we dont have double he just told us that the housekeeper made it twin by mistake and that we can push the beds together. Well, i can tell you that the housekeeper wouldnt be able to move the bed cos it was like 100kg!!! Under the bed were lot of leftover stuff from other people, like dirty tissues, handbag, ... After i realised the bedding smelled like sweat and it was very stinky, looked like they change it just twice per month. And as i work in a hotel myself i think thats very disgusting and hygienic standards should be the first rule of having a guesthouse! Overnight my fiance got the wood tick! They provided us towels as well but we didnt use them. The bathroom was looking quite good except there was no soap and just half of the toilet paper. The next day we asked if we can already move to the other room and the guy said its not ready yet, he wanted us to leave the bags there, that they can move it for us. We didnt agree with that, so he told the "housekeeper" (which i think was the girl from restaurant) to prepare the room for us. The room was prepared in two minutes because she didnt change the bedding again, she just sprayed anticeptic spray on it so we had to sleep in a bed which who knows how many people have slept before. She even told us that she doesnt like to change beddings! There was leftover food in the fridge from the last guest. The only good thing in the room was the air conditioning. It wasnt used a long time ago cos when we switched it on, a huge spider crawled out from it! So you can imagine how horrible it was for us and next time we better pay double price but get a proper accommodation.
