Hotel Via

Stayed here in Sep 2010. I was given a room with a connecting private sitting/TV room on the 4th floor so you have lots of space (ie 2 rooms, both with balcony). I paid about 33 euros for this ensuite room with breakfast included. Although the room interior looks terribly dated and old, the view from the large balcony is fantastic! At this price, I doubt if you can find another hotel that offers you such a fabulous view. Breakfast is adequate though not fantastic. Service is pretty good - though not all staff speak English, I find them friendly and ever ready to help. It seems like lake-facing hotels have the problem of insects flying into the rooms after dark if you keep your windows open. It can be a little unnerving but apparently, the other more expensive lakeside hotels nearby face the same problem too so I can't complain much about this. I just treat it as something you live with for staying in a natural setting - in any case, the few insects I encountered aren't pests like cockcroaches or filthy flies so I wasn't too disturbed by this : ) On the whole, for the price I paid, I think this hotel is acceptable and the beautiful lake view from the balcony is simply unforgettable and makes up for its shortcomings.
