This weekend we stay to this small hotel with good position in the centrum of Nyirbator. The room (14) was clean, with 2 beds, small TV with only hungarian programs (maybe is time for others like CNN, Skynews, ...), a minibar, AC, bathroom with shower-cabin pretty old with roost inside and is no window or a fan for smells. There  are 5-6 parking place inside of propriety and few tables and chairs for guests outdoor. The owner is very kind (don't speek english but the lady of reception is very pretty and understand english)....

Nice for a weekend

It could have been perfect if there was air conditioner. 
They do have a very good clear sign and we went to ask for prices, etc. There is an air conditioned boutique that acts as the office as well at the front. A cleaning lady saw us and asked us to wait. We could hear a woman talking with a man and laughing, I clearly heard the woman said word "gigolo" among the giggles...so I felt that was not a place for us. The waiting was getting ridiculous and I was ready to walk out to look for another place but my husband asked me to be patient and wait. It was very hot outside. I thought it was unprofessional to make us wait that long while talking about what was clearly not business in the other side of an opened door where I could see some steps up.
Finally a blonde woman came and we found out prices, parking etc.
We were shown a ground level room which felt cool upon entering by a nice lady who worked there cleaning, with mirrors all over, clean, modern looking, no fridge was a minus for me since we were in the hottest days of our trip and having a small fridge was great for keeping cold water and many times I had it frozen to keep cold water in the car. I saw an air conditioner remote control and a fan, so I presumed there was air conditioner. There was not and that was clear after we paid, made use of the room and came back from sightseeing after supper.
OK, we said we would use the fan. But it was not sufficient since the sun hit the exterior front wall of the room and the door. It was hot inside there! We both are not used nor do we enjoy hot weather. My husband gets particularly uncomfortable to the point of feeling sick when it is too hot -for him-
What I did was to cut off the sleeves out of one of my blouses and I soaked them in water to cool down our arms and legs with the fan air blowing towards us.
I had a water bottle filled with tap water for that purpose. And after a few hours of wetting our arms, feet and legs this way over and over he started to feel better and felt asleep. At one point I got up and stepped under the shower with my nightgown to cool down again.
Next morning we packed and we went for breakfast and to find another place. By checkout time we just left, I believe there were 200 Forint at the front desk since we planned to stay there 2 days but we didn't even wasted time with that. It is less than one Canadian dollar. The one lady who saw us packing asked how was the night and my husband -who speaks fluent Hungarian- explained to her our problem. She said we should have gone to the office to report the problem. When we came back at night we did not see light in the boutique-office so we thought there was nobody to talk to late at night.
The parking stalls are very tight on the other side of a gate but we managed to park well. We saw several golf carts also in that patio and some guests we seemed to use them. We never asked information about them
