Gasthof Laci Betyár

This is a great place to stay in Hajduszoboszlo. Me, my father and my son stayed here last weekend (March 2016). The guesthouse is located on the north east end of the spa complex, right across the street from "Hungarospa Thermal Hotel". It is about 10-15 minutes walk from the bus station, and the entrances to the spa complex (which are close to the bus station). We were very well taken care of by the friendly and helpful staff (owners?). They bought tickets to the spa complex (with a small discount) for us, and provided us with bathrobes and towels, to use when visiting the spa complex. Our room was clean and had a small balcony facing the garden. The beds were fine with soft sheets. There was a refrigerator in the room and a small TV. There is only wifi (free) in the restaurant, but it worked in the room as well at times. You cannot count on it though. We had half board both breakfast and dinner was included. Only drinks were paid separately. Breakfast was fine, similar to what we have had in other Hungarian hotels. Dinners were three courses, soup, a traditional Hungarian dish, and a desser (pancakes, cake). Alll well prepared and tasty. The wines was perfectly fine and very cheap. We booked directly with the guesthouse (via their homepage lacibetyarfogado.hu) and got a great off season deal. A deal not listed on the hotel booking sites. So I recommend having a look at Laci Betyar homepage and book directly with them.
