Le Picolet is exceptional, the staff (especially Joe) are amazing, friendly & knowledgeable. 
Via Jenny they’re able to help arrange any tours you need; the Citadelle La Ferrierie, a Clairins distillery, Vodou ceremony etc..
The hotel itself is beautifully decorated, with a comfortable room including great aircon. I had a room looking onto the ocean with a balcony.
They do a fairly priced airport transfer, the hotel is very secure and the restaurant has very good food, the included breakfast has nice options. 
I stayed 3 nights and will go back next time I’m in Cap Haitien.

During a challenging period in Haiti while many hotels and eating establishments have closed their doors temporarily or permanently, Auberge du Picolet has stayed open and provided a cozy refuge for people like myself who find themselves on the ground in difficult times.
The service, amenities and quality of food and beverage has been consistent.
There are brownouts and intermittent internet service which are tolerable in the context of everything else that is going on in the country.
It's the only place in Northern Haiti bravely operating with a smile and offering good food with the occasional surprise of Thai and Indian food events!!

I had a great stay at Le Picolet in Cap Haitien, the service was friendly, the accommodations were very clean, spacious and the bathroom was new. The ocean view from the 2nd floor was beautiful, you could hear the waves at night, request a 2nd floor ocean view room. The food was amazing, from the fresh fish to the wonderful breakfast, they went above and beyond. Go see Clyde the bartender, best bartender in Cap-Haitien, he remembered my drink the next evening! Would definitely stay their again!

After dealing with the chaotic traffic, poor roads, dust, and smells of the city, Auberge du Picolet was a great place to wind down, enjoy the ocean view, the food, and the great ambiance of the hotel.

This is a small hotel in Cap Haitien close to the sea. The hotel's atmosphere is very friendly, the rooms are relatively large and well equipped, and the restaurant offers delicious breakfasts and meals.

If you could close your eyes and imagine that Le Picolet was not in Haiti - you would think that you are on an exotic south pacific island.  The hotel is comfortable, has been recently upgraded and exudes native charm. It is not a chain - so if you come with an American attitude expecting Marriott etc. you may be disappointed.  This is the Carribean and expect that things slow down a bit - and you should enjoy it.  It's not a face paced tourist location. Many French and ex-patriots enjoy this hotel as well and US companies.  Television is in French or Creole - food is Carribean/french influenced. Come and appreciate this gem as it is...and gaze across the blue green sea that is the front of this hotel. An amazing vista.  You will traverse through downtown Cap Haitien to get here which is not for the faint of heart and you should be aware of the dangers of doing do if you are travelling as alone or without a native guide. Once you get to the hotel, it is secure and safe.  There is no pool and you should not swim in the sea in front of the hotel.  Staff is friendly, courteous and fun.

A small hotel on the waterfront on the edge of the downtown area. Very nice rooms, a good restaurant (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and very friendly, courteous staff. Also, very close to a couple of other restaurants that are equally good.
