I gave my laundry to this place. The guy at reception didn’t want to count the items or even weigh them. He just told me it will be 50 quetzales for one bag although I did ask to weigh the items (super expensive btw i managed to get it down to 30)
When I got it back the following evening, half of it was still wet and a short was missing. I told the guy at reception that said he couldn’t do anything for me and couldn’t care less. I came back the following morning which I did but again, nothing .. he even told me that happens a lot and very often the tourists actually forgot the missing item is in their bags, accusing me of not having looked properly !!
luckily this place was recommended by a travel agency that called the owner and 10 minutes later, the short appeared...! 
Do not go there, the staff isn’t serious and trustworthy. 

HORRIBLE PLACE

Chose this place because it advertised as having a shared kitchen. It doesn’t and the rooms are tiny, sweaty and the staff are pretty miserable and unhelpful. Would avoid if possible. There are cheaper better options near by.

Miserable 

Stayed here for a couple of nights whilst we visited Tikal and Palenque. It was cheap, double room, bed and matresses looked new and clean. No air con. Bed linen, sheets needed replacing and a lick of paint would go a long way. Mosquitos.

Flores on a budget

The people there are nice and very helpfull, but the place itself Needs some work!
Shabby beds, dirty walls, the toilets dont work properly- but the worst is the noise from the bars just around the corner at night! Till 2 am at Night it ist like standing right on the dancefloor!!! 
In some rooms guests used to smoke- you smell (and see) that...

Cheap - but very loud at night & shabby

It's next door to a club, and on a Saturday night the noise from about 8pm to midnight was insane.
Good roof though, for morning yoga or sunbathing, and the individual rooms higher up might be quieter.

I was in Flores in October 2015. So I'm writing this review a little late...I found this hostel really nice. Comparing myself with other travelers, I found that the price was maybe a little high, but that also depended on the fact that I chose to be alone in the room.

It's a very good option for staying in Flores.They have a very good price-quality relationship.Besides, all the workers are very friendly and make you feel at home.Thank you for such a good stay.

Very good stay.

The place is nice, it's cheap and the kids are nice, but we were told that there was hot water and only a broken appliance that sounded and the nearby bars played horrible and loud music until at least 11pm.

It's a good place if you don't mind loud music until 11pm.

We really enjoyed the stay, the breakfasts on the terrace, and all the information that Julio, the owner of the place, provided us with.The island of Flores is an excellent place to base yourself before going to Tikal, inform yourself and relax.If you are interested in the Maya culture, talk to Julio who is an archaeologist who gives you a lot of information beyond the internet!Fresh and comfortable accommodations...We really liked it very much.

Excellent location!

When we arrived in Flores we had to find accommodation at all costs for our stay... It was raining very hard and fortunately a taxi driver helped us find a place to live... This hostel seemed nice so we decided to stop here. To my liking the price was a little high by calculating the place, but on the other hand all over the city the prices are high. Our room was on the top floor, very small and not very clean (you know, however, in places like this you have to adapt).
