Princess Hotel

Great hotel, lovely comfortable and clean rooms. The pool and outdoor areas excellent. Very central for Tsilivi bars and restaurants. Only a 5 minute walk down to the beach. Staff attentive, used their in house transport offer twice- good value for money. The owner was friendly and helpful /accommodating. Fabulous holiday.

Lovely 5 night stay, clean, and comfortable, nicely located for shops and restaurants. Little walk to the beach. Bus stop around the corner near Courser Cantonese restaurant was handy for trip in Zante town, only 2 euros. Room looking onto pool on ground floor was perfect for us. Fountain added to pool on evening was pretty. Breakfast was always plentiful and nice, gluten free bread brought to the table by the lovely staff each morning. Kettle, cups and spoons in room, we took our own tea bags as read on other reviews they weren't provided but that didn't bother us. The coffee at breakfast was lovely.  Got sunbeds by the lovely pool daily and they are very comfortable. Lovely friendly staff from reception to snack bar, nice menu, tried a few jacket potatoes and yummy chips. Would recommend this place and stay here again if returning to Tsilivi.

We are on the last day of our weeks stay at Princess Hotel ,we have had a lovely time and already want to book for next year.Rooms are kept clean,air conditioning and room safe are included,the staff are attentive /friendly yes the hotel does have rules, no towels on sunbeds before 9am pool closes at 6pm .This makes for a more relaxing holiday! The breakfast is one of the best we have had on our B&B holidays to the Greek Islands ,choice wise ,full English,continental and fruit a great choice to set you up for the day.
Princess Hotel is also in a good location .10 minute walk to the beach,not the cheapest cocktails in town at 10 euros but far superior to local bars,
We are already looking forward to our next holiday

Myself and my partner stayed at the Princess from the 2nd to 7th October 2023..   Firstly, the hotel is in an amazing location.   The nearest bar is 30 seconds walk across the road and many restaurants and shops are within 5 minutes walk..   The beach is around a 7 minute walk..
On arrival we were greeted by a lovely receptionist, who ran us through the hotel and facilities..  Check in took around 5 minutes and we were shown to our room..
Hotel is clean and modern and we were very happy with the room.  After the first night, we asked for extra pillows at reception, which when we returned to the room were on the bed.
Food and drinks in the pool bar were reasonable priced, with lovely staff who could not do enough for you..
My only complaint (which is not really a complaint) was that there was no tea spoon in the room with the cups and kettle..
Overall, I would give the hotel 9.5 out of 10..
We were so happy with the Princess Hotel, we have booked to go back in May next year..   It is in such an amazing location.
This is 2nd trip to Zakynthos this year and will be back many more times..

Fantastic 9 nights in the princess.  2nd visit to the hotel , and great again . Don’t listen to the bad reviews , staff and hotel are great . You do have to reserve ur sunbed in the morning . If people reserve beds and don’t use them. , the towels will be removed , which is fair enough . Breakfast Is great , all fresh and kept topped up . A lovely 10 minute stroll to the beach , and literally 30 seconds and ur on the Main Street if bars and restaurants . We will return next year . Thanks all at the Princess for a lovely holiday

Ive just come from a weeks stay at the Princess Hotel for my mum and dads 50th wedding anniversary and I haven’t got a bad word to say.  Babbis, Spiyros and the rest of the hotel staff were very friendly and very welcoming.  The breakfast was very good, the hotel is very clean and tidy and the rooms are also very clean and tidy.  
Would highly recommend a frape every morning from the hotel bar.  The hotel has music in in the bar all day and finishes at 1am.  The music isn’t loud and you defo can’t hear it if you go to bed early.  
I would highly recommend the hotel for anyone looking for a friendly, relaxing and welcoming holiday.

Had a week here with my partner and 7yr old girl in August. Hotel is brilliant and in a great location. We were B&B the food was great lots of variety. The staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for us made us feel very welcome. We loved it that much we are going back next year 🤍

We were really worried about the reviews we were reading in the run up to going in here in September . When we got there , we found the loveliest and helpful , friendly staff and manager. Nothing was too much bother . Hotel is super clean , throughout.  Perfectly situated for bars and restaurants , and about a 7 minute walk to the beach . DO NOT BELIEVE THE BAD REVIEWS . Can’t wait to visit again next year .

Please don't listen to any negative reviews! This hotel is just beautiful! Family run and they really do go above and beyond! Our room was spotless, cleaned every day. No problems whatsoever with our safe as Adam said in previous review I left things out and it was still there on our return to our room, never ever did we worry. I think the bad reviews were put on to try and put people off! Staff were so lovely as were the family who own it. Great location, walk out straight into the strip of lovely resteraunts, short walk to the beautiful beach xxx  see you next year Princess Hotel! We had a blast!

Ignore the negative reviews. This place is excellent. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Rooms are clean and modern.
In regards to the negative “reviews” about money being taken I can guarantee this is not the case. One day I forgot to put my expensive Tag Heur watch in the safe, came back from the pool and it was still there. Worth a hell of a lot more than the money being claimed to have been taken. 
The bar does nice drinks, loungers are comfy and the beds are memory foam. What more could you want in Greece? Location is excellent

Arrived to be given a lovely ground floor room opposite the pool... within 5 minutes spotted a leak in the bathroom.  Informed reception and they told us not to unpack until they got it checked. within 10 minutes we were told we had to move to a room on the 2nd floor... no more ground floor available....2nd floor bedroom much smaller and didn't get sun until late afternoon. 
All staff lovely and friendly. Hotel spotlessly clean. 
Breakfast let's the hotel down! Breakfast between 8am and 10am. We went down at 9am.... most things not replenished....yoghurt in containers without covers and lots of flies around. Only cereal available was a chocolate coloured cereal and porridge oats.
We went to the supermarket and bought our own... also brought my own caffeine free tea bags as none available, but a good range of coffee available.
Orange juice far too sweet.
On the whole,  location great... lots of restaurants nearby but definitely breakfast was not 4 stars.
We were charged €7 tourist tax for 4 star status.... will be going back to my favourite self catering accommodation next time. 

Breakfast disappointing. Staff lovely

The hotel is well situated, being central and within a few steps of bars, restaurants and shops. We had a pool view room on the first floor. Comfortable for two people, but tight on space, and virtually devoid of storage space: wardrobe, two shelves and bedside drawers, plus shelf, but no other drawers. There was hanging space in the wardrobe, with a small selection of plastic hangers, a few of which had trouser bars. So we had a room with open shelves stuffed untidily, and the 2 suitcases pushed into corners in the room. No storage for toiletries at all in the bathroom, other than a soap dish in the basin and a shelf on the floor of the shower area. Walk-in shower, with a decent jet of hot water (the time taken to heat, and temperature depend on what is available at the time from the solar-heated tanks), although the fixed half-screen in the shower meant that water splashed out onto the bathroom floor. Good supply of electric plugs (continental 2-pin).

Daily maid service to make up the beds and sweep around, and towels and bedding are changed on alternate days.

Kettle and cups supplied, safe is a key-lock. Air conditioning didn't work on arrival, but quickly fixed remotely from the front desk. The fridge was efficient. There is a small balcony outside, with table, chairs and a drying rack.

We arrived in the evening, so we just had a  drink at the bar before turning in. 500ml draft beer was 5 Euros, and a glass of wine was 3.50, accompanied by a complimentary bowl of nuts. Staff in this family owned and run hotel were very friendly and approachable. Hotel itself is spotless everywhere. I note that some people have commented about there being rules posted everywhere, which is true, but they are sensible and, I think, reasonable, and should not really cause the offence that some have taken.The bar is open until 12 midnight - 0100, so someone wanting an early night will get the bar music, and that from neighbouring hotels/bars wafting up (we learned to close the bathroom door, as the entertainment locally goes on longer, and there is an open vent in the bathroom).

Breakfast is adequate, with eggs boiled, fried, scrambled and pre-cooked omelette, bacon, local sausage, mushrooms and beans., plus a toaster and bread, pre-formed ham and cheese slices, and some pastries There is also yoghurt. You might want to get in early (8-10 a.m. are the times), as the second batch of cooked food comes out quite greasy.. The 'orange juice' is almost neat squash, sweet and rather cloying. We had some temporary mobility issues while we were there, so we preferred to have a lie-in and go to one of the bakeries and coffee shops (our favourite was Majestic, next to the Spar supermarket). The hotel bar does bar meals, which looked good, and freshly cooked. There is a small book exchange in reception.

Tsilivi has a good range of restaurants, and I have reviewed the ones we visited (The Brothers, The Family, Olive Tree, Piero's, Zorba's, Calypso and Majestic for coffee/breakfast) separately. There are also a few small supermarkets, other than the Spar nearby, and a range of souvenir/clothes shops. Things are starting to wind down at the end of September, and it all just about shuts down by mid-October: we were apparently fortunate to have slightly higher temperatures, at mid-upper 20s, in September, which was very pleasant, with a breeze.

Flies can be a nuisance, so be prepared.

There is a road train going through the town, which will take you to Xante town for about 4 Euros. Other bus services can get you to other parts of the island. There are also pony and trap rides around the village (not sure of the route or the cost).

The only complaint about this hotel (which is not a complaint) was there was no teaspoon in the room.  Otherwise perfect

Lovely hotel very modern staff very nice particularly Maria on reception and Aras ? In the bar breakfast was ok my only major concern was the shower unit im disabled and cannot bend to clean bottom on the tray on my last night just b4 getting ready to go for dinner I slipped on this fell very badly from unit and banged my head on door this left me very shaken n my back is extremely painful this is a genuine risk and I'm highlighting it b4 someone is seriously injured or worse other than that our beds n towels changed every day also floors washed every day food at poolside very nice there's a very friendly vibe with other residents its in an excellent location at the older end of the resort wit beautiful tavernas nearby reception called taxis no problem if we needed to venture further all in all I had a lovely time however wouldn't return purely due to safety in shower I was given a ground floor room as requested due to mobility its just a shame about shower issue otherwise I'd return in a heartbeat
